The Night Time is the Right Time
| | Here in Central Alberta < on 3/5/2007 6:09 AM >
| | | hey all, I was wondering where I could find some cool locations... just kidding I've read enough rookie sights to respect the secrecy of your fav. sites. I was wondering though, who and what is going on around Central/southern Alberta. I know there's a meeting in some bar in Calgary (wednesday nights?). Are there any in Red Deer? snowy, I understand you are near Brooks. My Bro and I are headed there some time soon when the weather is good to photograph that aquaduct. Anyways... yeah. This site rocks by the way. Peace.

| | | I may be a accused being elitist or something but this is akin to a crossword forum where people post all the answers. Most of the point of UE is to go out and find stuff. If you find it on the Internet, it is not "expoloring" anymore. Rest assured, there is UE Everywhere. If you cannot find it you are not trying and frankly why should anyone give you a cheat sheet if you are not even trying? Someone posts this on here every few weeks and they always get the same anwser. If someone is serious about UE they are weclomed into the community but thinking someone will email you a pdf with maps and photos of things in your area is not what we are about. If you ever come to Calgary then email [email protected] and you'll be made welcome, taken to locations and given free accommodation. We'll help save you the $$$ you spend on the flight over here :) |

| | | sorry skaught, I was totally joking when I asked for new locations. I know that question is asked all the time and that it's dumb to give away locations to anyone. I certainly don't need a cheat sheet. I know of thousands of sweet locations and probably some that are totally new to this community. What I meant was, where do you people meet that's close to me. I would like to join an event,or at least contact from people who do stuff around my area.

Unless you're Lord Rick. Then you pay for the privilege of chillin wit em. Turn off the computer and play outside.

But, isn't that dangerous? Like, I hear there is this really bright thing in the sky. Like the moon but searingly brighter. I find staying in my moms basement and doing all my exploring via LDB to be sufficient and risk-free. Sometimes I even take screen shots of places so that I feel like I've explored them as well.
Walk away. |

Vicarious living is safer, I'll agree to that. But the act of capturing screen shots poses a different, and lethal, set of consequences. For example, you may injure your index finger through repeated double mouse clicking. Count picking your nose out with such an injury. As for the bright moon-like sky object: it's the alien mothership watching you to make sure you don't oversleep.

| | | So why does it always appear just as I'm about to go to bed? must be on Austrailian time or something.
Walk away. |
