I had to track down the Summer 1986 issue of Nautical Quarterly to get it... thought I'd share.

Wow. It must have been so much cooler back then.

Nov. 24, 2007--The city of Cleveland, Ohio, announces that it has developed tactical nuclear weapons, and does not wish to hear any more jokes.

Fantastic stuff there! The fact that it's from 1986 is important as we can see what it was like back then, and can document the decay from then to now.

Also, the overhead shot is priceless.

Good work there, codeloss!

For some reason I think the Rossville Boatyard is the coolest place. And if I EVER get to go to New York, this will be one place I'm definately going to see.

I figured out what's wrong with life:
It's other people.

Awesome article! Nice find.

Everyone has a dark side, mines just a little more illuminated.

I was totally thinking about this place last night. planning a trip and was trying to figure out if I could get down to it. My dad's into boats, so I grew up around them. Thought it'd be a nice bday gift to get some good shots and frame them for him. that boatyard is a combo of creepy and majestic. awesome article, thanks.

Entre -- if you can get a small canoe or kayak, that seems like the way to go. I've been there twice on foot, and if that's your only option (it was for me, I took the bus there), make sure you go at low tide:
