Most of the moderating in the LDB happens because of user input -- if you see a problem, report it to a moderator.

I think this is a great idea (assuming I'm understanding correctly). I personally spend a lot of time arranging photos, choosing the best ones, and making it flow as much as possible - I get really annoyed when there are 110 pictures and half are blurry, 1/4 are landscape, 1/5 are the same shot, and 3 are actually interesting!!
When I'm bored at work (which is often) I'll often hit the "UER" button at the top of the page to see random pics - sometimes I find cool locations I wouldn't have otherwise found, but more often than not I keep clicking and keep coming up with crap. Is there any long term goal to delete pictures from locations that are of no interest to anyone?? I'd volunteer for this job, as most of the time I spend on UER is browsing the LDB.

I like the UER button too. Thanks for reminding me again!  There's a lot of pics here so it's a cool potluck approach to finding a one that otherwise may have never been seen.
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

Instead of 1 gallery of black/blurry shots, we now get 3 or 4. Perhaps an additional limit might be placed on the DB allowing only 1 gallery to be made per day or something similar. You're right about it being far too much of a gray area to have anyone actually edit the photos except for the original creator.

| | | | 2 trips gives you 50 pictures. I think that's more than enough for any location, if you leave out pictures of boring shit and stick to the documentary stuff. I try to do this myself, I go through the pictures I take of a trip and ask myself if I'd find them interesting if I were going through the gallery. A shot of a calendar or some stuffed animal in a closet of a huge warehouse isn't really necessary.
