Thank you Av

You know, I don't always take the time out to thank Avatar-X for this board, even though I get a lot of genuine pleasure from it. I know he does a lot of work on it, and cops a lot of grief over some of the decisions he makes. I don't always agree with the decisions he makes, and he does not always agree with the things I do. However, having met him I know he's a good, kind and friendly person, a bit shy and he takes a lot of things to heart.

What it comes down to is that without him UER would not be here. I know something else might be here in its' place, but it not. We have Av to thank for much of this place that is UER. I know others contribute, and this is an amalgam of much of the UE community, but AV brought together a lot of UErs that may have never have known about each other had things been different.

So, I'd like to say thank you AV.

I'd also like others to stop, think a bit and think what they have to be thankful to AV and UER for. And for once to please NOT go all negative and point out AV's faults or things they disagree with. We all have faults, and no two people will ever agree with each other on all things all the time. I hope this remains a positive thread and passes on some well intended good will to Av which I am sure he deserves and may need.

Please do not digress into off topic conversation, particuarly the elections as there are already threads for that.

Best of regards AV, though I am a cheap ass in terms of donations, please don't think that I don't appreciate your work and the spirit you put into this place.

- Jason.

Thanks for your kind words, but the best way you (and everyone) can thank me is by treating each other with respect and not causing so much bullshit and arguing and idiotics on UER.

Yeah thanks av, you made an great website. The forum system is one of the finest. And the LDB, wow! The elections thing is kind of unfortunate though.

Thanks, without you and your website I would not be exploring like I do now. Originally I just was exploring a few buildings in my area that everybody knew about. Stumbling upon your site I realized there was so much more out there to see if you just look. It is clear that you care about this hobby of ours, introducing time consuming ideas like the full member system- keeping vandals out of the buildings we love. You take many harsh criticisms from many members on this site and still listen to their ideas in an effort to make a friendly social community of explorers. Something most people would not do if people were being so offensive on their own website. Thank you

Avatar, I know no matter what you are going to be leaving the site in the care and control of others, so I'll say this. Go out on you first night and explore, on the second night go explore, third night go explore, up to the sixth night, and on the seven go get laid. If not go explore. Just remember to have a great time.

We must also go out and meet the enemy before he reaches our shores. We must defeat him before he attacks us, before our cities are laid to waste.

Thanks AV - You have built something truly incredible. Someday I plan on going to Toronto for only 2 reasons:

1. I really want to meet the UE community in Toronto. (would love to see the Malting Plant).

2. To meet you and shake your hand for all the hard work and sacrifices you have made to create and maintain UER. I don't think anyone has sacrificed more then you have for UE community.

Thanks again AV - I hope you get much more exploring done once you pass over the reins.
