| | | | My cousin works for the Detroit Zoo and as of a couple days ago when I talked to her the zoo is to remain open but will mostly likely lose independent control of operations to the cultural society while the city stakes claim to the control of the money (what little there is). It seems like a way for the city to save face in the wake of declining attendance, but I don't see how this plan will keep the zoo open in the long run. If I hear more I'll let you know.
