| | 5100 Issue 2 - A New Zine < on 1/10/2006 5:26 PM >
| | | 5100 - An Urban Explorers Magazine, is pleased to announce their recent release of Issue 2, now available for purchase! 5100 is the collaborative work of some local explorers. It's 32 pages long and full of well written articles, amazing photographs, and useful information all wrapped in a full colour cover. Issue number two has been released almost exactly a year after Issue 1, but we will be releasing them on a more frequent basis. Back issues of Issue 1 are still available. Check out our website for a preview of what you'll get and more information about 5100: www.5100.ca And thank you to all of you that have already purchased your copy. Any comments regarding the zine are certainly welcome. [last edit 1/10/2006 10:01 PM by Nancy_Drew - edited 1 times]

| | | In all seriousness, it's a great little zine, and it costs like $3 including the shipping. That's like less than it costs to get a latte... It's well worth it.

| | | Well thank you very much for your comments Mr. Sable! We have been receiving quite a bit of praise on 5100 from everyone who has picked up their copies so far. In fact a girlfriend of one of our local explorers, (she's an investigative journalist) was quite taken by it, and is putting together a great article of her own about one of her finds for the next issue, it will be quite exciting. So a big thank you for all of you who have already purchased your copies and keep those orders coming in, you won't be disappointed!

| | | From the pics on www.5100.ca I'm guessing an effective use of some Ralph bucks or perhaps even a provincial grant. A zine in vancouver would be black and white and printed on toilet paper. jk. Nice job.
It seems you've just been looking with your eyes closed. |

| | | Heh, no, Ralph didn't have a hand in this one Our first issue came out last year at about this time. The cover of 5100 has the only colour photos in the zine. As much as we would have liked to add more, the overall cost would have be too high for each zine.

| | | They're nifty stuff, I must say. People are sometimes unsure about buying them, but when they actually see the zine and get a chance to flip through it, they usually want one right away. I went and printed a second batch of copies yesterday. Zines everywhere...
