Mainly birds, rodents, seen a dead raccoon too. Oh and I found a spine that we could not establish a specie for, but was speculated to be human but later debunked as being from an animal. My only question was where was the rest of it...

Dead pigeons in every imaginable state from freshly dead, rather gooey, mummified, to completely skeletonised. Several small and unidentifiable rodents which were long dead, and once a cat.

At Cane Hill hospital I once found a human femur and parts of a pelvis which made me rather uncomfortable, but I think they were the remains of a teaching skeleton, as I found them in a nurse training classroom.

Dead raccoon
Living Rabid raccoon (same location as other coon)
A large pile of bass.

The worst was a dead dog in a backwoods cemetary. We first discovered its hair in clumps in the cemetary. As we were leaving, however, found a pile of bones across the little dirt road from the cemetary. Of course, we had to investigate that, and we found a disgustingly putrid pile which ended up being the dead dog's skin. The only reasoning I can come up with are silly little satanists trying to pull some ritual sacrifice down there...but it was gross nonetheless.

I think DJ Malign can tell some dead hobo stories...

In the machine room of a elevator on top of an unused/boarded enclosed parking garage in Lubbock, Texas. A skating buddy and I found a jar that had a masking tape label, which claimed to contain a "dog's heart". Inside the jar was in fact a heart, it was kinda small, who knows how it got there or who put it there. Something like that is way creepier than finding things like dead rats or pigeons. Some freak had to have gotten a dog's heart and put it up there.

* dead body mentioned here!

A friend and I were doing some scouting a few years ago. A police officer appeared out of nowhere and informed us that there was a dead body about 30 feet ahead of us. We were suspects, of course, but the officer somehow sensed that we were innocent before checking my backpack - I had a crowbar in it!
I ditched it in some weeds shortly after leaving the scene.

Just a dead cat, out in the middle of a ravine. It'd been there for a while, so i thought it was just a bit of carpet.

I forgot to mention earlier, while investigating some beach bunkers, I came across a sheep that had fallen to it's death from the cliffs above - not pretty. It looked sort of like a sheepskin rug bundled around a pile of rotting meat and bones, then liberally doused in blood.

About 10 minutes later, I found the remains of a dead dolphin. It was half rotted out, it had gone a brown-black colour, and its head was gone. It stunk to high heaven.

i know someone who found a dead body, but thankfully have not found one myself. Lets see:

severed chicken heads hanging from the ceiling with twine tied through their eyesockets
a mummified rabbit
dead racoon
a torn apart deer carcass *fur, 20 feet later leg with some spine attached, 20 feet later ribs, neck and head*

And i know its not a dead animal but i've been finding lots of hobo turds in atlanta. Brook run also has its share of toilets that kids use then smash

Dead birds, rats, snakes, found a dead porcupine once on a set of railroad tracks. The whole skeleton was intact and in the position as if it saw the train and put out it's paws and yelled "NOoooooo!!". It was kinda funny at the time. There were quills everywhere. heh.

Probably not the best idea, as they might find it with fingerprints on it and assume that it is related.
I saw a hawk kill a pidgeon inside a building once, and of course, the assorted bird skeletons.

Usual suspects, lots of birds, rats, a suprising number of dogs. Once I came across an entire room filled with severed animal parts, deer, raccoon, etc.. There was rumored to be some satanists hanging around that location so it was likely their work.
