Missouri Town Square House - Now Demolished

Hello all!

I've been lurking for a while since covid lockdown is being enforced very strongly on campus and I have not been able to go anywhere. I was looking through some old files and found this townhouse which I'm sharing with you all now. Visited in summer of 2020 and the house was demolished day after I went (lucky me)

Getting in was both easy and a little tough. The method of entry was extremely trivial. Actually had been in this state for years but I didn't have the balls when I was younger. The side of the building this entrance was not only by the town square but facing the main highway leading in and out, so it took a bit of timing to get in.

Wasn't much in the house itself. Basement was full of trash. There were some old books lying around and a cool painting next to the stairs (included in the album). One picture is from the adjacent shed which had so much trash in it I was momentarily surprised. A little bit of water on a corner of the first floor but rest of the house was pretty well off all things considered.

When the city's lockdown had ended I had gone into town to shop and had to do a double take. A tree had fallen on it in a storm the day after I went and it got torn down. Even in the week of time I was gone they filled in the foundation removed the garage and everything. Kind of cool that it no longer physically exists but I had wanted to go back.

I had to duck around as the windows were actually pretty clean - I did some camera magic so the outside world didn't leak in - so I wouldn't be spotted.

And here is an upside down picture of the living room leading into the 'kitchen' that still had a fridge. No snacks in it though...

It is a damn shame she was demolished, she looked beautiful as a ruin.

Do you know if there is anything left of the place? I'd love to find documentation of the house. That is if it hasn't been leveled and documents pertaining to it's origin weren't taken when it was abandoned.

Believe me I did some searching of my own but its been abandoned as long as I can remember and the documents probably were gone before that. As for the site itself that's what I was meaning by surprised. You can't actually tell anything was there, grass had even somewhat grown back over the dang thing.
