Truly a fantastic story. Thought it was so cool that this spot meant so much to you that you would protect it from scrappers and make it literally apart of your life. Thanks so much for the journey!

Great post. I miss you, bud.

💙 I miss you too. I hope to make it up to your neck of the woods soon.

I can say without a doubt I owe the greater part of my exploration career, and as a result, the many friendships and adventures that stemmed from that, to you.
You were the first person to reach out to me on this website, and I will forever remember and be grateful for that weekend exploring all over Houston, Galveston, and Port Arthur.

Now if only I can get a bit of your green thumb to rub off on me.

Wow, I haven't been here in a minute.

What a beautiful, amazing location, and so many wonderful memories with awesome people. I'm really glad you finally wrote this place up, I find myself thinking about that weekend quite a lot, actually. I'd love to reconnect some time, dust off the old respirator and see some more things. Hanging with you (and of course Astro and Indo) were major features of my life at the time, and I remember all of that fondly. Well documented, my man, hope to catch up some time.

[. . . ]

Hopefully good memories, I remember that was also the day you had a tragic incident involving keys to your car!
[. . . ]

I ended up finding my car key in an old Chick-fa-lay bag I had been using as a make-shift garbage bag stuffed in the side of my car door. By the time I found my car key, a friend had already driven all the way from Denton to save my ass. Go figure, lol.

Glad to see you back man and thanks for your note contribution that perfectly summed up the post. That note was there on that counter since the meet and probably still there as the building fell. Idk, I like to think of things like that. It has some meaning to me.

Oh man. This is just a beautiful story with beautiful pictures to go with it. Seriously, y'all did an amazing job at documenting this place.

I had a location up here I had been going to for seven years or so. It was just a little safe haven for fellow explorers and I. Sadly it was set on fire this year... totally destroyed. It almost felt like someone died to me. I always associated it with this great withstanding over nature and man. I really never thought it wouldn't be there.
I love what you said about buildings having a soul. What a gentle statement.
Rest in peace for both yours and mine!

These photos you have posted are so beautiful, I love it! By the way, I also wanted to ask, how you guys find abandoned places? Are there some archives, base or something like this? And how can new people be aware and join? It looks so exciting I even found this

service to have more free time from college. So, I am ready even to pay for personal statement writing for my paper to be able to join discovering such places in my city.
