My very first drain explore was in Houston. I was lucky enough to meet up with a couple UER members when I was still very new around here - one in particular was very experienced, especially with drains, so that was definitely a plus. Any Houstonian (or Texan in general) knows that exploring anything at the height of Houston's hot season is oppressive at best, so any reprieve from the oppressive heat (ie, anything subterranean) is a welcomed bonus!

When I'm on my phone and need to get my photo(s) under 100kb to upload directly I can't use a host site for whatever reason, I usually go to this site (it's free) to reduce the size of my images (there are lots of similar sites out there):
http://www.webresizer.com It's a tedious, outdated process, but let's face it, this is kind of an outdated UI/website. There is probably a better way, but I'm not super tech savvy and this is what I found that works for me.
