Abandoned Structures (urban or rural areas?)

Hey guys, I am relatively new to this site. I've been exploring for quite a while now and I've found quite a few cool places. Some are located in more urban areas such as city centers, or (active/inactive) construction sites, and others are located in more urban areas. Both types of places offer cool and unique things to explore, however, I think I like the rural area exploration better. It is far away from society, and gives an isolated feeling that is almost chilling. What do you guys think?

Here is an allegedly "Haunted House" secluded far from any civilization. There are a few other abandoned run down houses around it, but going inside definitely raised the hairs on the back of my neck. (I was by myself on this exploration).1.

Rurex kicks ass! I explore in the city most of the time because I don't drive, but when I've gone out into rural areas I've gotten some of the best goose bumps of my life. I especially enjoy old mining towns and equipment that aren't BLM-sanctioned tourist destinations. Abandoned houses out there are great too. Welcome to UER

Looks very cozy. I like what you've captured in 7, it almost makes me feel claustrophobic.

I think I prefer the aesthetic of rural places just because they seem truly forgotten. People don't walk past them all the time. I guess that ties into how you feel about them being far from society. They feel like they belong to another time and place.

I think both rurex and urbex have something to offer. Urbex gets you those nice big hospitals, factories, tunnels, and rooftops, and parking is easier- but it's often a bit more stressful and difficult to avoid detection. Rurex is a lot more low key since you can get into houses without having to play a game of "abandoned or just extreme poverty?", plus the cool military abandonments and many mines are rural, and you don't have to worry about squatters or cops.

"Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to be here," he said, knowing full well he wasn't supposed to be there.
