Early Morning Tower Trips

Being out of school on Coronacation has me wanting to be productive. I got the idea to wake up absurdly early and hike up to some towers on the mountain. It was a long hike through the rain, but eventually I made it to the top with over an hour to spare before the sunrise. I tried this same place before to watch some fireworks from and ended up running down the mountain with a truck chasing us and a (most likely coincidental) helicopter hovering over us. But this time I got up and down with no issues. Enjoy the photos.

5. Climbing with a tripod proved to be quite the challenge

Thanks for looking

That looks like one of the abandoned AT&T Long Lines Microwave Towers. these were built in the 50's and 60's.

It was in fact one. Many of them are disused and all of them are pretty wide with convenient platforms to chill on. Makes for an easy climb.
