Hello all!
I am new to these forums and I was actually referred here through the Reddit Urbex community. I've been dying to get into a proper Urbex forum and this definitely seems to itch that urge
I've been into urbex ever since I was 12 and now that I've turned 25, that urge for exploration has grown pretty wild.
But just to introduce myself. I moved to Chicago a few years ago from Cincinnati, Ohio. Which saddens me as I couldn't explore most of Ohio's urbex areas considering how good they are. But I'm hoping I'll get enough connections to explore most of Illinois and document anything before they're gone for good. I don't want to make the same mistake haha!
I have a lot of pictures, stories, and posts I plan to make. So I hope I'm a positive contributor to these forums! And I do hope to meet some of you all soon
Thank you and I'll be sharing some of my not-so-amazing pictures soon. And I hope to be a full-member soon once I've completed the requirements of course

(P.S: I shoot with a Panasonic Lumix LX100 (the original one), but it gets the job done. I attached an example of what I shoot above)

Hello everyone!
My name is Brandon and I am from the east bay here in California. I have always been a outdoor person and enjoyed photography, but recently have started a new interest in urban exploration. I have been exploring now for 4 months with a friend of mine (WindsorS. I really have enjoyed the adventure in finding the spots and the pay off when your shots turn out after so much effort to find and explore a spot. I can't wait to see more spots to come and hope to meet some new people along the way.

Hi!!! I heard people don’t use this site quite as much as they used to but I think the idea of introducing myself on here anyway is kind of cute.

I like things that look like mistakes and I guess you could ask what is more haphazard than abandonment. I think everyone dwells on or revisits sites of slight and abandonment everyday, most of this through memory alone, and the few times I’ve been out exploring I’ve thought a lot to myself about what it might mean to instead, seek out real abandoned places and let them animate my life in a good way. Of course I also just love to meet new people, get lost (but not *really*), drink, and see beautiful things.

If there is anything I definitely want to change about how I relate to this hobby it is that I currently lack a relevant skill that could be useful to other explorers and I want to avoid having the only thing I ever bring to the table be the fact that I am “nice.” I live in Minneapolis.

I like your icon. I wish I had a better response for your observations/thoughts. But it's cool that you think that way.

Hello! I'm from Phoenix, Arizona. I've been interested in Urbex ever since I was a kid, and the desire to explore has only grown as the years went by. As I transition from a teen into an adult I've found more independence, so as of recently I have been getting into more adventures, mostly hiking and draining. I'm very glad to have found this site, and I'm excited to increase my knowledge in Urbex as well as sharing my activities with the rest of you!

Hello!

I'm based in the Atlanta area, though I'm originally from Austin. I've always been interested in travel and exploration of all kinds. Urban exploration in particular has always fascinated me because it's like going on adventures in your own town. I actually used to do a lot of that as a kid with my friends, exploring sewer drains, abandoned warehouses, and even a tombstone factory. It was great!
Sadly, I got older and we all kind of grew out of it. Except, the more I work these 9 to 5 jobs, I come to realize that sitting behind a desk and waiting for those two or three weeks of vacation every year just *isn't it.* I need more excitement and exploration in my life. So I said screw it, I'll try some urbex!

All this to say: I'm excited to get back into it!

I know no one ever really reads this shit, but here goes...

New to UE, but not to exploring. Never knew this "society" existed until recently.

I'm located in SoCal, and have been my entire life (boring here). Until recent, I devoted 13 years to volunteer work, about 1000 hours a year. I was heavily involved with Search And Rescue. Through that, I was a Specialist Reserve Officer with LAPD. I've received training through LAFD, most importantly (to me) was Rope Rescue.

I have legally explored the Red Line (subway) from North Hollywood to Hollywood, on foot. I have walked the train tunnel from Chatsworth to Simi Valley. It was great to have legal access to a lot of places.

Most of my recent explorations are mines and ghost towns (abandoned towns). Favorite area is Panamint Valley and Death Valley.

I have renewed interests in a few objectives of UE here in the SFV. I'd love to explore with anybody else in SoCal.

If you wanna explore my local area, PM me

I’m extremely interested in your experiences. Please find a way to message me via here or email [email protected] Ever think of coming to Minnesota??

Hello,
My name is Vito and I am from Edmonton, Alberta. I have always been an outdoors person so when I came across urban exploration it appealed to me.

Currently, none of my friends are interested in this hobby, so right now I'm looking for meets or people to explore with.

Hi all,

I'm lostinthefilesystem; I'm in NYC. I signed up for this forum after going to find a spot under a certain tunnel I saw in a video online only to find they were putting up new apartments and the entrance had been blocked off. Hoping to meet some people and explore~

Hey all, new guy here the city of Colorado Springs. Always had a fascination for ghosts at first then always wanted to know more about the history of the locations they investigated. Wikipedia and Google images weren't much sometimes, then after YouTube searching I found urban exploring. And since the springs used to be a mining town I though hey might as well go see for myself right?

Always up to finding new building or factories to check out. Just drains I won't go near due to fear of spiders and extreme claustrophobia but other than that I always have Saturdays to drive around and look for new spots to hit! I may not have the whole fancy equipment and such like the high up guys but as long as I'm able to take a picture and just walk the area I'm fine with that

Hello! I'm nightstraps, and I'm from Toronto, around the GTA area. I don't have many friends that are into urbexing so I was hoping I could meet some new people here that shared my interests.

I was into urbexing as a child around 12 years old but after moving to a different area, I sort of fell out of the hobby. Recently I was doing some research on abandoned and run-down buildings for a personal art project that I'm still working on, and it just happened to rekindled my interest to go and explore these kinds of buildings myself again. So far I've found about three areas near my house that seem interesting, and I'm preparing to go visit them whenever it gets a little bit warmer, so I guess I won't be contributing much until then haha.

I also do other things outside of urbexing; I do digital art, listen to music and program video games! Bands I've been really into recently include; frank carter & the rattlesnakes, and micky james, check them out!

Possibly even more than abandoned buildings, I love abandoned vehicles, this was something I drew a while ago based off a pic of an abandoned schoolbus I had on my phone

Hi, you can call me whatever you wish.

I personally haven't gone out to urban explore quite yet due to my unfortunate location of living in the country, but I plan on beginning this year.

I don't have much to say about myself aside from the fact that I'm into psychology, history, trivia, and anarchist thought.

Have a good day.

Hey new to the forum but have been doing UE since 1995 but haven't done it in some time now. But I have a new camera now so I can start taking pictures of my finds and adventures. I live in New Jersey where there's a lot to find if you look around. Hopefully I can get to know people and chat with them to find more people who would join and also share places and experiences with me.

Howdy! I'm from San Antonio, Texas. Used to be really into urban exploring back in college (04'-06' ish), but slowed down and got wrapped up in other hobbies.

Been having the itch something awful recently and found myself wandering down old train tracks and construction sites. Thought I'd see if this place was still about since I used to lurk here back in the day. This time I'll actually take photos and contribute, promise!
