Damn dude, that is rough, I do not think it has anything to being smart, MisUnderstood asked if anyone knew about it, it does not mean the young lady is not smart. This is a law you would know only because at one time in your life you were in a situation to learn about it, it is the same with your friends, now my co workers know about it too.
There is nothing wrong with talking and expressing ideas and thoughts on things because at the end of the day there is law and there is LAW. To me the purple was is law if you are just out hiking but LAW if you are out hunting. Just putting my $1.50 in it.

I never said Misunderstood was not smart, you made that up. Im implying you and your co-workers may not be all that smart though. It takes about 30seconds to pull up TX PC 30.05 and read it https://codes.find...al-sect-30-05.html

We all know the laws are applied differently now, based on race, gender, hiking vs hunting, motorcycle vs motor scooter etc but at the end of the day the LEO on the scene is going to decide if youre breaking the law or LAW or not. . .

Not sure why you think this is so complicated feel free to educate us dumb UERers sounds like you know a lot more than most people here!

When I first came to Texas 8 years ago and saw the purple on the fence posts I had my suspicions and just goggled "purple paint texas".
It remained a mystery to me for a couple hours.
Why beat it to death?

Well it was implied that a person who knows about 30.05 is smarter than someone who does not, The only reason that this post exist is because someone was asking a question about it. It is like 30.06 and 30.07, Unless you carry a firearm you will more likely have no clue what those mean.
I will not talk about police tactics and race here, It looks like people have hard enough time talking about purple paint.
I will leave this here,
I was warned that simple conversations are next to impossible in UER smdh.

You been here 6 days. No pics.
How many threads have you read?
How many pages?
http://www.uer.ca/...s.asp?rank=XXXXXXX

If came here to learn, you can read that.
If you came to argue, we can do that.
How you conduct yourself here determines the outcome.
You notice this thread was civil until you started beating a dead horse.
Get goofy here, post bs here, you will get called on it.
Come here to troll, you will get chewed up.

This site is easy as pie or hard as -you- make it.
We like pictures, sploring stories and meaningful knowledge related to exploring.
You have a wealth of exploring knowledge here if you just read.
Best to read a few thousand pages or more before you start posting opinions about the site.

I did the same thing. I thought purple was a weird color and simply wondered what it meant. I've looked up other colors and markings before too, just out of curiosity. Google is quite useful for the inquiring mind.

So, on the topic of purple posts, has anyone actually come across these purple posts while exploring?

The enigmatic purple stripes, like UFOs nobody has ever really seen them except leprechauns.

I think they mean its Ok to hike but not Ok to hunt, or, hike with a rifle. Its Ok to snare geese, but not Ok to trap ducks, or crabs, David Ray was a duplicate account, trolls are color blind and Jeffery Epstein killed himself.

And, if there is purple paint and a fence, there is probably a game camera or two on you.

I have resolved to not shoot people for property crimes or simple trespass..

..anymore.

But don't test this. LOL

I've been known to backslide occasionally!

It depends what they did, are doing or threatening to do.
Violence will trip it.
Where they are and how close.
Inside the house or especially vehicle they better be retreating most ricky tick with no weapon.
If they are armed or reaching.
If they are threatening to do acts of violence... depending on how pissed off I'm feeling.
If they aren't retreating.

Inside the house (home) Castle Doctrine applies.

In 2012 the Castle Doctrine was extended to include your personal vehicle.

Don't mess with Texas. (at least not until all the California refuges move here and re-write / create new laws like they did out there)
