So the only threads I can find on this are from around 2010 or earlier. I've read that they've put in a huge water tank underground there since 2015. Is the bunker gone now? Or is it still there, just sealed? I don't expect to get in but I'm bored today and looking for something to do. Would be cool even to just be right above the bunker.

Web historian and chiropractor Jeff Felker encountered the bunker when he delivered a pizza to the call center.

Either the most interesting or least interesting person to hang out with. No in between.

Ah sound it sounds like the bunker was not gutted/removed for the supposed water tank that went under the hill. I guarantee there are still ways into it. I won't discuss it here, and I probably will never get into it, but that would be one of the coolest UE experiences anyone could ever have. Very dangerous though.

As far as all my research and poking around the hill, there is no way in without significant demolition. Heavy concrete blocks cover the most accessible entrances, and the only one I found that wasn't blocked off is the old drain pipe that led to the sump. It is far too small for anyone to get through, and the sump doesn't even lead into the space!

When there is tranquility, you are in the right place. When there are no footprints, you are on the right path. When there are no tire tracks, you are on the right road.

A sump pipe, even a 18 inch one isn't a way in... it's a way out of this world.
There was this Atlas F site that had a massive blast harden sump system.
Lol it would have been more practical to pry missile launch doors open than to even consider using the sump pipe to gain entry

Possible lead on the pre-seal layout:
https://www.youtub...atch?v=ueEl7A7KaHA

Portland had a full-scale atomic evacuation drill in '53 or '54. They filmed the whole thing, with all the real people (the mayor you see in the video is Terry Schrunk)to show to other cities' civil defense programs.

Even if it's not incredibly helpful POE-wise, it gives you an idea of what might be inside and is a coll piece of Portland history nonetheless.

Before I load up some tools and drive down there, can you be more specific?
