"Shiloh Forestry Compound" (?) - Someone Help Me Find This Place

Hey, everyone!
Recently, I've been attempting to read about a place called "Shiloh Forestry Compound" (or possibly Biltmore Forestry School) near the Biltmore Estate in Asheville. It's got a supposed history of drugs, prostitution, etc. and now it's just an abandoned building in the woods. It seems to scare the hell out of everyone who's actually been, though.
Has anyone ever been there, does know where it is, and/or does anyone have any substantial information on it? It's a mystery to me- I couldn't find anything.

Thanks for any help.
Happy Halloween and happy exploring!

I do not believe this is the same building as the Biltmore Forest School upon further research. Anyone talking about the Shiloh Compound seems to say that the compound is off limits and actually abandoned- not a museum.

Um, I think you're conflating two unrelated places in entirely different states.

The Biltmore Forest School appears to be a historic site in Pisgah National Forest near Asheville, and is not abandoned.

The building in your photo is part of Forest Haven, a well known abandoned asylum near Fort Meade in Maryland (I think I can be forgiven the name drop here, given how well-known, heavily trafficked and bombed out it is). There's a metric fuckton written about it online, but this website is my favorite resource for its history.

Nice. Great site! Looks like it was really awesome in it's rottenness at some point.

Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time.

Definitely Forest Haven. Better picture of what it looks like now. I didn't get the chance to make it over to the main building.... Oooo well... maybe next time.

Holy shit, that's what Forest Haven used to look like? That picture must be so old. There's literally an entire forest now where the overgrown lawn in the picture is.

Definitely forest haven. It's been since 2017 since I visited and yea it was a forest all around then. Building was rummaged through, and hooligans had sprayed. It was completely explorable then but cant say for sure now. Was before I found you all, wished I still had pictures!
