This place seems to be the flavor of the season lately.

Cool shots. Done shots give a great perspective.

the fact that you didn't at least tip over the port a potty is pretty weak.

I'm surprised that I came across it researching something else entirely, and then came across more info on a completely different website.

Great shots! I particularly liked the drone ones, that's a perspective I wasn't able to see from the ground when I went. Also surprised the property has been left abandoned for so long- a small house on a private pond surrounded by trees is pretty idyllic, if you get rid of the Nazi shrine.

Way better photos that that dipshit maxpower in strange panties posted, 10 times better but hang on here comes the Nazi comments from all the local Nazis LOL.

Did some old German guy build this in his yard and expect visitors to come?

WTF?

Yes, that is exactly what he expected. He planned to hold nazi and neo-nazi meetings on his property with this museum serving as a convention center, meeting room, and community center for nazi sympathizers. He even planned a public grand opening where he invited anyone who wanted to attend.

That opening and those meetups fortunately never happened, but only because the town council stepped in and declared it unlawful to hold public events on the property because it was zoned as residential property instead of for public gatherings. The legal reasoning there is flimsy enough that anyone could see they just wanted (justifiably so) to prevent nazi rallies and no judge in the country would overturn their decision, so their ruling stood.

That's pretty funny wouldn't be the first time a city used zoning laws to punish someone they didn't like, I am personally aware of a motorcycle club they did that to.

But a Nazi shrine in your yard? That's pretty messed up.

The thing that struck me while visiting the site was how big the shrine was in relation to the house. There really wasn't much in the way of luxury in his living quarters. But then he spent a pretty large sum on this meeting space that had almost the same square footage.

That, and the shrine had no bathroom built in to it.

I'll never understand how it's possible to have Neo Nazis living in America. Doesn't make a ounce of sense.
Horrible history behind this, nonetheless cool find and nice drone pics.

Oh, this guy wasn't a neo-Nazi, he was an actual Nazi- a fought-on-the-Eastern-Front, registered-member-of-the-National-Socialist-party, SS-officer Nazi. Pretty sure he was wounded twice while fighting the Soviets during WWII.

And he managed to slip by and lived in the USA. Build a concentration camp as well. No one knew about it? Or did no one care enough to report it?

You'd be surprised how many fled the Reich after Hitler killed himself and settled in places like Argentina, which has a long history of hiding away Nazi officers. It's no surprise some made their way to other countries and assimilated into life hiding their past from everyone. Occasionally now you'll read reports about 'that kind, lovely old man' who was living in a community for decades who turned out to be a Nazi war criminal.

He came to the US legally a few years after the war. There was nothing to report. From all that I’ve read about the man he loved America (ironic given that we were the enemy), payed his taxes, and made a living wage to support his family.

I guess he was just preserving history. Pretty neat find.
