I am trying out a new format. There is a saturation in the "music" to "broke in" to "random pics" market of UER and all UrbEx... what I am trying to do is make it look like it is OK to do this and that there is a VALUE to entering these sites and getting information out to people.

Tell me what you think and be honest.

FYI - Equipment used is 1 (one) Samsung Galaxy S7 phone. That's all I got.

Information to the people?
Like the ones that will vandalize, scrap and destroy sites?
The more traffic a site sees the faster it goes to hell...

Presenting isn't exploring.
This site is old school; we like pics.
Personally unless I know the poster I rarely watch sploring vids.... they waste my time and patience.
Just my take... posting some solid pics here of good sites get would you far more traction on UER.

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

I don't think having more people aware and entering these buildings is a good idea. The less spelled that to it and know, the better.

The hobby is dangerous, and illegal. Making it more public and raising awareness is a bad idea. The people that are serious about it, and have been doing it a long time know the proper precautions, and what to look out for, and about not getting caught.

YouTard is a new format? Also, no.

You're talking about there being a "market" for urbex and trying to "get information out to people," which I think is the wrong approach. I'm all in favor of historical documentation- but sometimes you gotta sit on information for a long time, even years, in order to protect the location.

Urbex doesn't need to become more publicized. The under-publication of urbex isn't coincidence or a problem that needs to be fixed, it's a design. It's about tightly knit networks and closely guarded secrets, not marketing and fame.

The word about urbex doesn't need to get out- those who are in it for the sake of exploration will find it themselves. Publicity only attracts those motivated by fame instead of discovery, and shines the spotlight on a hobby that works best in the shadows.

"Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to be here," he said, knowing full well he wasn't supposed to be there.
