On my way through Palo Pinto went to check out an old ghost, Dempsey heliport training base during the Vietnam war. Gate was open! First time Ive ever found it open. Its been abandoned for many years. But theres now an armed guard in a little portable guard shack.

Rolled the window down and tried to strike up a friendly conversation but he wasn't having it. Acted like a military sentry but he was an old guy 60+ years old carrying a sidearm but obvious private security. Could not read the company name he never came out of his shack.

I asked about the airfield and what its used for today he lightened up a little but said its a "holding facility" I asked if that meant it was a jail and he barked NO, then said not exactly. He is under orders not to discuss its current tenant and directed me to turn around and leave. (give some people a pistol and they become a world class tyrant)

So about 50 or 60 pages on Google from different years finally found a 2017 where the FEMA people asked Palo Pinto to grant a "use agreement" for 5 acres there and the city council granted it.

A 2016 YouTube drone video shows some flatbed trailers, fuel tankers but no guard shack.

Only sign said Dempsey Facility. Lots of activity could be seen inside the fence, all late model red Ford F150 trucks.

Hate to say this but it is NOT on my list any more...

WTF, FEMA prison? Illegal Immigrant "holding facility" I say again WTF?

Conspiracy people have a go at it Im tired of searching.

So, looking at this place on satellite I see thousands of cars. This reminded me of something I saw on a trip to Philly earlier this year. Volkswagen had their emissions scandal, and they have to store their cars somewhere. This lot in Philly (40°00'14.9"N 75°03'41.6"W) ended up being one of these places. I noticed similar things here, and came upon something interesting.

This is a photo from one of the businesses listed as operating at the heliport on maps. From the sheer amount of Volkswagens and Audis, I would go to assume these vehicles are here for the same reason.

https://www.minera...-1bfa7f612a28.html

Here is an article about the whole deal.

"Triplett could not comment when asked if the local operation is related to Volkswagen's diesel emissions scandal involving 83,000 vehicles built between 2009 and 2016. The German automaker agreed to spend $225 million to fund projects focused on reducing nitrogen oxide emissions."

However, this article came out shortly after.

https://www.simmon...emissions-scandal/

"Attorney Mark Allan, of Heygood, Orr & Pearson, took this picture of several vehicles at a Texas dealership bought back by Volkswagen as part of the settlement agreement. Allan, a member of the Volkswagen Class Action Litigation Team, said the truck-driver informed him that all the surrendered vehicles are taken to an abandoned airfield in Palo Pinto, Texas."

I'm not sure if this is the answer to the FEMA piece, but it is certainly part of the mystery here, and is interesting for sure.

Maybe they shuffle them around like mobile launcher nukes
Might be an auto auction yard of some kind.

I suspect they have shuffled many around to dealerships to sell off a few at a time in states/counties that don't do tailpipe tests.

I Googled the Hell out of it nowhere does anyone admit to having a holding area in Texas, must be level3 security clearance only info. (rumor: North Korea is bidding on some diesel Vdubs really really cheap)

You know it looks like they are retrofitting those cars at that site.
Or it's a missile base... I'm no expert

I'm going with FEMA concentration camps. It's the most reasonable explanation.

Well, we do have concentration camps down south now- turns out they're just run by ICE, not FEMA. I guess all the "nutjobs" claiming that the government was planning on building concentration ("internment" or "detention" if you want to obscure the issue) camps on American soil were right all along.

"Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to be here," he said, knowing full well he wasn't supposed to be there.

Site like that ruin their own credibility by quoting Alex Jones. Holloman AFB in New Mexico, yes there are some strange things going on there but German Luftwaffe in America???

Ive seen some F-117 doing some weird shit out there but no Messerschmidts yet !

Shepard AFB in Wichita Falls? Yeah I might believe that and Google satellite imagery has intentional fuckery going on, Ive driven around it seen the signs in Arabic on the gates and fences. The so called civilian airport there is questionable https://isthatafem...ard-afb-texas.html Most disturbing is all the middle eastern troops we are training there and their pilots fly out every Tuesday headin south in T38s often just breaking the sound barrier, funny thing is they leave but don't ever come back so wtf are they doing and where are they going? Graduating I guess. Do they get to keep the airplane?

Look at the flight line from 2005 to 2018 on Shepard AFB some planes have not moved in over 13 years? These are not static displays there are some displays and mock up for ground troop training but these are parked on the flight line for 13 years? Maybe just government waste.

And the FEMA operation? No evidence of it except on the conspiracy pages I do think there are some emergency detainment facilities but these go back to Bush / Obama era. Why would FEMA lease part of the heliport? So they could let VW park their junk cars there? Sounds legit. Why armed security at the gate? was there a lot of people trying to get in and steal a diesel Volkswagen? LOL they cant give those things away.

Now the cars are all gone but 24hr armed security is still at the gate. Holding facility my ass.
