Been away from the forums for longer than I'd like, but luckily I managed to get in a small explore in that time, and a more personal one at that. Perched on a hilltop on the Dutch Caribbean island of Saba sits the former home of Mary Hassell - my great great grandmother, apparently. It was also my first ever explore. I was six years old during my last visit, and it's something I've wanted to see again ever since I got into real exploring.

I didn't have a lot of time to stick around for stills, so you can get a better look at the interior through the youtube video below. Also includes its state 17 years ago, as well as a tiny DOAR who won't shut up. From the many jugs piled up next to the fridge and cushions on the floor, we at first believed someone had been sleeping in there. Due to my forgetfulness, my own bottle ended up joining them. Funnily enough, we later found out that the house was being used as a pit stop for someone's donkey. I also brought along a Samsung Gear 360 in order to test out an idea I had of creating a kind of "street view" for abandoned places, but the software situation there is complicated and annoying, so where that will go remains to be seen.

Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time. Z.B.S. Halevi -- Kabbalah
