Oh yeah. I did suffer some pain for 2 weeks. I did thought that it is just ordinary pain, you know when you are in really physical job some part of your body is aching all the time. But this time it didn't go away. So after 1,5 week it was time for doctor.

She did send me to X-ray and result..? Broken rib. So I've been this week off from work and will probably be next and even maybe more. At least now I'm hoping to have time for photographing too - yesterday I already did make carefully one trip. When you are addicted to photographing...

Anyway, this is from last friday. It was same old story. Finally it was long waited friday, and luckily week of morning shift. I was tired and my body was aching (for obvious reason), but still I did need dose of oblivion after work… so I did return to this isolated farm.

And today’s off-topic-bonus-shit-shot comes from last saturday and it's from my Paradise... and it's also one of first shots taken with my new camera: Canon 6D. Too pro and too expensive? Don’t worry, I did buy it used so my "keep is cheap as possible" kind of still works. Anyway, Marsh tea with cobweb shooted through another cobweb:

Have a nice and happy weekend!

Your pictures are great, as always, but that bonus is probably my favorite one from you ever! Gorgeous.

Fantastic set as always! I especially like "black dress", and " silently they look"...and of course another stunning bonus from Paradise! 😀
Hope your rib heals soon and fully...I had the "just getting old, too much hard work" back pain a few months ago...then realized it was a pinched nerve. AGONIZING pain until it finally settled down; but for the first week and a half I tried convincing myself it was just a moderate strain...
Anyway, glad to see you back at it, and look forward to more! Have a great weekend, and cheers!

Wolfheart knows decay and desolation
These have a disturbing, rotting surrealism about them.
Wow.

The bonus photo is one of the most unique and best composted shots I have ever seen here.
I love it.

Lol, that cracked rib is just about healed. The first 2 days are the worst.
By 3 weeks it's pretty much knit, 4 weeks good to go.
Of coarse you're not suppose to aggravate it by doing work

Sorry about your Rib. Hope you are getting some relief, if not, a few shots of your favorite Whiskey might take the edge off long enough to shoot a few more pics Seems like when we are in pain we do some of our best work. The cobweb is a good example of that... A Wolf Masterpiece! Should definitely go to your next showing at the gallery
Love Red Throne and Black Dress too.

Wow, thanks for this - finally someone is within! I'm ending my 4th pint, also 2 whiskey shots taken (at 22:38). Cheers!

I probably should joke about "bad taste you must have" but not today, I've feel terrible down since yesterday... but good thing is that I know this will go away sooner than later, and then life will feel realli living again.

But anyway, thank you so very much; you did make this day much better. And I appreaciate it. Lot.

Bloody hell, guess what. I don't even have broken rib! They did call me friday and tell that yes, there is broken rib but it's old one and at right side - when today's pain is at left! So it's just muscular pain, but still... PAIN.

And I so well know what you mean. It's strange how far you try to push with thought "it's just ordinary pain"... like it would be weakness if you would confess that you are hurt. But at least in my work, I'm pretty sure that everyone is thinking that all of it was just fake. It wasn't. And oh yes, like bonus I did hear yesterday that my work, which did ment to last to end of October, will end in two weeks. So I've been suffering since yesterday in very deep "I'm worth nothing" mood, real dark sadness. But no need to panic, soon I will see that lost of income compares time to spent photographing. It just takes some time to realize.

Thank you very much, and like I said: after all it wasn't broken rib at all - old unknown(!) wound did shake the pattern.

Wow to you! Thank you sooo much! This feels so goog right now, when feeling really down since yesterday when my work (and so on money) situation did turn to much worst and I did get that stupid "I'm worthless" feel, even changing any minute of your one and only life is really stupid thing to do.

And I'm repeating myself, but I don't even have broken rib! It was only old wound at the other side of my body - thing that I didn't even know! So this is only muscular thing and will probably heal much quicker. I still probably have to get few days off from work at monday - it doesn't even matter so much anymore when my work is ending in two weeks (instead of "to end of October" like it were planned).

I feel sorry that everybody feels sorry for my rib... because it is not even broken like I did get to known at yesterday. It was so confusing - not only me but that doctor too - because there were old broken rib at the other side of my body - thing that I didn't even know!

But thank you soooo much! And there is next (vehicle) shot waiting already... doctor did say that light moving wouldn't be so bad thing to do, so I suppose she did mean 2 kilometer walking in forest to abandoned farm and 1,5 hours photographing... and must confess it wasn't my best idea.

Well at least something is going right

You may be able to work around it depending on how bad, where it is and what kind of work you do.
A pulled chest muscle is a bitch.
Less painful than busted ribs but it can drag on longer.
Generally haunt you from 2 to 8 weeks.
They can be fairly painful and very annoying.
Figure out what movements hit it and try to avoid them. Pain onset maybe delayed by up to a few hours after aggravating it though most times it's pretty damn immediate
Sometimes even coughing or sneezing kicks them up... very annoying but self limiting, eventually.

Avoid using NSAIDS; they significantly delay healing.
Stay hydrated.
Booze doesn't help the healing... sorry.
Nicotine may help.

Yeah, it is getting better and this haven't been too bad: second week of from work with some pain, but not too much and because that doctor did say that I can live, I've been trying to. Photographing, even drinking so this have been quite holiday after all especially now when every movement at night won't wake me anymore.

Anyway, I will try to get to work at next week - it will anyway be my last week there so it would be worth of it to get some bonus money from those days (I don't get it when off from there, no reason why).

And I haven't take any painkillers or other medicine while suffering this. And what comes to nicotine... no way - I've smoke only maybe half year near 18s, and even then only drunk. Thank god I didn't never get really addicted.

P. S. Guess who been sneezing about 5 times every day now... of course when it really hurts.
