| | | Posted by Deconstipation On another note, do you have any idea why an abandoned cereal mill would be actively under surveillance to the point where they send a SWAT team as a respond to trespassers? Sounds a little overkill, since they could simply use on-site security guards. This whole story makes it seem like this building has more to it that it shows. Maybe there's a Deep Underground Military Base (read: D.U.M.B.), or even worse, a Vault-Tec vault underneath? OMG. Edit: typos.
| First of all, they were responding to a "possible burglary," at the factory. They were not responding to a trespassing call. A few of the police officers mentioned that they had no idea what they were walking into, and they said they were on edge after a mass shooting in a town just a few miles north. And they had tactical gear on (like holsters for AR-15 clips) and semi-automatic rifles (AR-15s). They did not have headgear, and I don't remember if they had body armor on. If they did, it was only bullet-proof vests. But it wasn't technically a S.W.A.T team I believe. Idk what to call it though, a tactical team? Not enough space to put that in the title of my video.

| I'm sure seeing you turned them from the adrenaline fueled fight, go home tonight mode into calm, pleasant chums in just a minute flat... 'Oh Max it was such a huge pleasure meeting you and your wittle mafia.' Even they gave you an arrest record to remember them by... just a special feel good story all way round. Yeah... a real masterpiece.
| Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in. |

| I just wanted to point out this blunder. Posted by Empty AAAA Battery @strangeinthehead First of all, they were responding to a "possible burglary," at the factory. They were not responding to a trespassing call.
| Regardless of terminology, they were responding to you running around like a fluorescent marker, setting off alarm bells. It's not uncommon for LEOs to find calls aren't what they were expecting. Dodgy callers, people who speak very little to no English, "Hey there's some guys on the roof, *click*" and the dropping of information when something has to be repeated eight times are all cause for confusion. Did you really think "Deconstipation" made sense?

| There was a cookie factory in west Toronto that had been closed in the early 2010s, and remained vacant, but pretty heavily secured. In this case, the government wanted to keep the land designated as industrial, but they just didn't know what to do with the factory, so they wanted to keep it under watch. Also in Toronto, is the infamous generating station. When you consider that there's been multiple injuries plus a death to people exploring, it's used as a film set and an event venue, it's no wonder being caught there can provoke a police response very comparable to what Max experienced. Taking those cases into consideration, I can see why this could provoke a full-blown response.

| Ya, this does happen every once in a while. A friend of mine went through something similar. I gotta be honest with everyone here, if I was listening to my story, I wouldn't even believe it. But that friend of mine and his crew were swarmed by Chicago P.D at an abandoned hospital, and they had guns drawn, yelled at them to get on the ground, and were arrested. When I heard that story, I thought it was total B.S until I heard the story from others who were there. The only difference is, I don't think they came in with rifles, they were just using their pistols.
