Hey Pirex here! I am an explorer from Singapore that's currently serving the army.

I explore because of the feeling I get when I enter an abandoned place, it's like walking into history, able to see and touch it......i'm transported into another world which few people have experienced, which is why I started filming because I want to spread this joy I have with the world and take people along through my videos

If any of you drop by Singapore and wanna explore or collab just drop me a dm to my instagram: pirate_explorer99

PS just released my 1st ever video on youtube, really excited for you all to watch it.

Hi, my name is Owen and I'm from southern Arizona. I've always had an interest in exploring buildings, especially ones that have been abandoned. I haven't done a lot due to a lack of buildings in my area but I recently went to an old waterpark. I'm excited to be a part of this community!

Hey guys I'm from the Bay Area, new here but I've been exploring for little over a year just with friend and stuff. Didn't know there was a whole ass community about this stuff - also new to forums in general.

Hello all!

I’m Stafford – originally from Northern California (where I return for 1/4 of the year), now attending college in Indiana (where I am for the remaining 3/4 of the year).
When I was younger, I used to go urbexing every month or so with my father, primarily into old sites of historical importance in the greater bay area. Bunkers have always been of particular interest to me, though we visited several other particularly fun sites. In our time exploring, we managed to make a few friends who were happy to help us both learn about the hobby.
Sadly, when a certain large bunker was quite publicly sealed in 2011 and the news painted all who had entered in a negative light, my father decided it was time to stop and forbade me from going on trips. Given the circumstances, I dropped the issue and stopped exploring.
I was recently pointed here by a colleague on campus; having been out of the hobby for awhile the thought had never crossed my mind to look up online communities for it. Now I’m here, having just finished going through some wonderful literature, now finding myself doing research on locations I think might be fun to explore. Amazing how that works.

Hi, I'm Andrew, I live in the Ft Lauderdale, FL area. I made my profile on here a while back and then forgot about it and have been putting off exploring because life is busy. Recently though, my friend has been bugging me to go out and explore some abandoned, old buildings and I remembered this site and figured you guys may be able to give us some advice so we don't do anything stupid like walk in on a meth lab or something. I hope to be posting more on here soon enough and if anyone lives nearby let me know and maybe we could meet up sometime and do some exploring together.

Hello All! I am using urban exploration as a way to cope with depression and lethargy/apathy. I'm obsessed with the mystery of exploring these strange places, and the work it takes to gain access to them. I visited Cedar Crest Water Tower this weekend and I plan to post the photos I took soon. Please, reach out, I'm new, and I'm looking to become more involved in this community!

Hello all,

I live in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. I have been here for 3 years and fell in love with the nature and sights to behold. I have encountered many cool buildings or locations, some abandoned, some not and would like to contribute these for others to see. I'd also like eventually to meet up with other like minded individuals who love exploring and find new locations. In my spare time I enjoy jeeping, motorcycling, exploring, and working out.

Hope to meet and share adventures with more of you!

I'm in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario, and from Ottawa, so I travel between both cities. I've been interested in urbex for maybe 5 or 6 years, and have been doing a bit over the last 3 years. I've got a few places I've visited so far, and I'll be spending some time making posts and such for the ones I've got pictures of over the next while. Looking forwards to participating here!

Hey there everyone, my names Matt and I'm from St Augustine, Florida. I have always had an interest in photography and have done a little bit of urban exploring in the past and have been getting back into it along with photography.

This site seems like a great tool to see everyone else's explorations and maybe find people around my area to explore with as my friend I explored with in the past has moved and I'm not too keen on solo exploring.

It's great to be part of the forum and I look forward to interacting with all of you. I will definitely make another post in the regional forum as well to see if there are any explores around my area (I'm sure there has got to be a few still active).

Hi everyone, name's Andrew. I'm from BC, Canada (lower mainland more specifically). I've been lurking around my regional forum for about a year now and decided it's about time I made an appearance. I've been interested in abandoned places and exploring all sorts of buildings and areas for as long as I can remember. However, I didn't know it was an actual hobby with a name until about five years ago. Before then I didn't really think of actually exploring most places because I didn't like the idea of trespassing.

While all types of explorations interest me, I'm generally most interested in rural places, tunnels, mines, and drains.

I also like photography, specifically drone photography. Other than a drone though, I only have my phone's camera and a point and shoot for handheld stuff for now.

As I've been struggling to find much to explore near me, I haven't explored as much as I'd like to yet. I look forward to sharing photos and maybe meeting some more experienced explorers one day!

I loved St. Augustine when I was visiting my then girlfriend in FL. Do you still have people campaigning for weed out in the streets? Anyway, welcome to the forums.

Thank you for the welcome, it is a beautiful place and yup they are still downtown on St. George Street most afternoons and evenings with the signs and petitions still, they have been at it for years down there.

Hey All!

I'm Ric. I enjoy good Italian food, horseback riding and long walks on the beach.. wait.. wrong intro.. annnnyway...

New to the forums, but not really new to the site or urbex. I've visited UER on and off for years, but following a recent move to NM I decided it was time to join the forum and actually interact.

I'm probably an old man compared to a lot of the forum members (41) but I've always been a bit of an explorer. Growing up my family spent summers in Upstate New York and winters in Florida. Used to spend days (sometimes into the night) of my teenage years exploring the abandoned buildings of Madison Barracks in Sackets Harbor, NY (Originally serving as the Navy's shipbuilding center during the war of 1812 and later became Camp Pine. All of the buildings are now gone or converted over into upscale apartments / townhouses.) I can't even describe how much I loved exploring those buildings. They were around 190 years old at that time and consisted of an old military hospital, crematorium, gate houses, theatre, gymnasium and housing. They were FULL of old documents, film on reels, military uniform items and discarded equipment. Several had been used by the local town as storage (full of junk including old 1960's civil defense / fallout shelter equipment). Cool as shit for a teen growing up.

Anyway, that's what got me hooked on exploration. Like most on here I'm an amateur photographer. I have a thing for nature and abandonment landscapes, astrophotography and HDR. I know it doesn't seem like much but I was on cloud nine when the BBC used (and credited) a photo I'd taken of the supermoon.

When I'm not exploring, I'm working. I spent 12 years as a network engineer, but I now work as the purchasing & inventory manager of a chain of ten retail vape shops. Until I moved down to New Mexico in March I was a volunteer Firefighter/Medic and Search & Rescue Instructor.

There you have it, the intro of a gay, gun nut, exploration addict. Good to meet you all!

Hey, I'm Logan, and I'm new to "urbex". I've always liked exploring old shit though, never really knew it was a thing until now. Love the outdoors and am into offroading, hunting/fishing, backpacking. Would be interested in finding any cool spots in Milwaukee/ southeastern wisconsin area.

Well, S'pose I'll introduce myself. I'm Swallo, I currently live in Edmonton, AB. I partake in urban exploring with a few 'pals of mine around the area.

Currently we've hit these spots
-Storm Drain (Winter) x2
-Storm Drain (Spring) x5
-Pump Station (Spring) x2
-Misc Abandoned houses (Winter) x4
-Misc Abandoned houses (Spring) x6

I've been interested in Urban Exploring since I was a kid. I found out about UER a few months ago when the aforementioned " 'pals " of mine were deciding how to spend a weekend. If you've read this far, Kudos to you.
