Found an abandoned power plant in the middle of nowhere.
We also got lucky enough and happened to plan our trip on the one day it snowed here.

Love the brutalist architecture of the building and with the snow around, it would feel perfect in a James Bond movie or a COD game.

Nice! I went there a few years ago and got into the lowest level, but the other levels were blocked off. Cool to finally see the rest.

Cool shots! I love the architecture. It would be cool to see it with the turbines in but it still looks like a cool spot.

I ditto what Ryanpics said about the architecture! I would love to light paint this building - lots of clean, crisp geometry going on.

Edit: pronoun issues!

EXTRA cool. Brutalism is the greatest architectural movement.

I'd seen it on google maps but didn't think to take a look last time I was up that way. I'll have to go do so soon.

Yeah I just happened to find the place while planning a trip to find some mines in that whole area.

Wasn’t 100% sure if it was abandoned but luckily the drone had enough GPS signal in the area to give us a better view before we tried to walk in.

I really like these photos!

I just wanted to inform you of something however:
You might want to either make this thread private (so random people on the internet can't see it) or edit picture #3
I say that because the details in that photo give away the location. Or, I should say, they give a clue to the location. After ~15min on google maps I was able to find it. So thank you for this location as I can't wait to check it out now when I find the time haha.
This looks like a really cool place and I would hate to see it completely trashed.

Those are some mad googling skills and eyesight. Even knowing the location I struggle to find it on the map.

I was able to figure out the general vicinity fairly quickly (especially since I'd been through in the recent past) but had to do some googling (rather than just maps) to figure out exactly where it was.

I've got to say it was easy to find the general area for me but the exact spot to gps to took me a little time. Of course it didn't help doing it on my phone on my lunch break. Great location though. Maybe ill see one of you guys out there.
