Snow came and cancelled school so I got some friends and headed back to the hospital I did a few weeks ago. We got there late so couldn't do too much but it was still fun. We had 4 people, the most i've ever explored with, and 2 of them were basically first timers. It's cool to see their faces when they first walk in. It was cold and nasty but we survived. After rushing through the first building and discovering that they had locked up another building in the past week 2 of us decided to do the power plant and me 2 of us tried the chapel. The 2 that did the power plant were just too lazy to walk back up to the chapel and they really missed out. It was probably my favorite building on the property. The power plant turned out to suck too. Anyway, here are my pictures:
1. The stairs up to the guard tower from when part of it was a jail.
2. On the tower. The basketball court can be seen in the bottom left.
3. This place has some amazing textures. All these were taken the in first building that I did last time. You see new stuff every time you go.

8. In the utility/kitchen/administration/chapel building. This room was like 2.5 stories high.
9. Seconds after taking this one of my feet broke the flooring. It wasn't until then that I truly understood the state of disrepair that this building was in. In the back left corner of this room you can see where the bricks fell from the ceiling and the floor was severely warped.
10. In the 3rd story chapel.
Here's a shot by Tom Kirsch taken in 2007. I realized when I got back how similar our compositions were.
Note, I did not take that one. It's just for comparison. You can see the bricks that fell in the left of my shot and how much more the paint is chipping.

13. The organ was built in 1851 by Henry Erben, who I guess is a famous organ builder but I don't really know or care.
Here's another comparison shot by Tom from 2007.
Again, I didn't take that one.
