Hi everyone. I’m really excited to be a part of this community and eventually be a full member. I’ve been doing urban exploration since I was about 15 years old, so for around 8 years now. I’ve been to quite a few places around IL and Mo and I recently moved to WV so I figured this would be a good place to find like minded people and make friends to show me some new locations.

Though I’ve been exploring for so long I never really thought much of it. Just thought it was a strange hobby that I had that I was always trying to get people to do with me but had a hard time convincing them. I’ve always been itching for and searching for new locations. About 4 months ago I started looking up YouTube videos of other explorers. I started watching Exploring With Josh and then it hit me. This is a hobby. This is something I have always loved doing and OMG THERE IS A WHOLE COMMUNITY OF PEOPLE WHO DO THIS WHAT?!? I got really excited and just decided I wanted to dive deeper into this and take it more seriously.

I’m just really excited to be here. Hello everyone. <3

Hi everyone. Found my way here via someone I met on Facebook, the juge. I’m from Northampton in the uk, and I’m returning to urbexing after being away from it for a number of years due to various reasons. Hope I’ll be accepted here as I’m looking forward to taking up the ‘hobby’ again. Already been to about 4 or 5 different places in the last month and looking forward to seeing more. Ciao for now 😉

Hi and welcome. You will have no problem here if you follow the guidelines, and then this will open up worlds for you, like I said before. Also introduce yourself in your regional forum. Go through the rookie forum because it is important, and post some of your own photos. Participation is the key.

Hello,

I don't usually do the forum thing, but thought it might be interesting to meet some other people interested in exploring. I've been exploring since high school, but since moving to Colorado it's been hard (property owners here seem to be much more sensitive to trespassing than what I experienced growing up on the east coast... plus less cover on approach).

At any rate, I love photography and I'm looking forward to sharing my photos with people who get the subject!

Hi all,

I'm fairly new to urbex, but I've always loved hiking and other general exploration. Currently located in Central Pennsylvania, but I'll be going to graduate school in the fall, and at that point I have no idea where I'll end up

I'm excited to learn about new places and hopefully meet some cool people!

Hey there Uerbexers!
So I’m brand new to UE, but I guess I’ve been doing it since I was younger just didn’t know there was a whole community of people doing the same. Mostly abandoned houses and empty factories I happen to come across. I found this site from a friend. I live in the Cleveland area and am really just looking to learn from everyone and find some cool places. I like new experiences, adventures and meeting people so I can’t wait to actually contribute.

Hi and welcome to UER! You're in a great place tp start exploring. Pa is probably my favorite state for it. Look around and show us what you find. Everyone loves pictures, even if they're not that good.

HI Buff and welcome! Make sure to read up on all of the rules and stuff in the Rookie section. Post lots and get to know some people. Cleveland is another good place to start with exploring. Again, take tons of pictures and make sure to share them with everyone here!

Can't wait to see some of your explores!

Hello all. I'm end0ped, from the midwest region. I'm a 37 year old digital nomad and kinda got into this later in life. At least, formally, I've been into abandoned areas all my life, I just didn't realize it was a thing other people did. I'm currently in the central NM region for the winter and live full time in a 27' class-C RV with my wife and 11 year old son. I've been coming to these forums for a about a year and greatly enjoy the pictures and discussions, but I only just recently made an account. As for explores or photos, I have none. I'm not much of a photographer, and I haven't explored anything worthwhile in many summers. I do hope to change that as I travel around the country, though, and would like to add some content in the future.

Hey UER,

I'm a fairly new explorer from Minnesota mainly into the underground,
(how original, I know). I've hit maybe 30 rural caves in the past half a year or so. Not so into the drama and fluidity of MSP exploring so I keep my time down there light. but regardless, I'd be glad to talk to and make connections with any explorers from this area or far!

Hi ya’ll my name is Crystal, I live in northwest Georgia (the state not the country) I’m fairly new to exploring, I got into it when I got into photography, but have always loved abandoned buildings and houses. I’m really glad to have found this site full of people who share a love of abandoned places.

Hey there everyone, I go to school in the Newport News area and over the summer I live in the D.C area. Most of my exploring experience comes from climbing very much not abandoned buildings but I really want to get to places that are more interesting then random rooftops.

Hey everyone, my name is Elizabeth and I'm from Southern Pennsylvania. I'm kind of new to exploring due to the lack of abandoned places in my area, but I have always been interested in exploring. I got a car recently so I'm able to finally travel to explore and then I found this forum and figured it would be a good idea to meet some others with my interests!!(:

Hello everyone!
I’m an explorer from the Netherlands with a love for urban decay.
Currently I’m recovering from an injury but the moment I’m better I’ll treck out and shoot some photos of places I know to post here.

Stay safe!

Welcome to UER
Best to be fully recovered with full ROM and strength before exploring.
Previous experience has taught me this.
Because of unexpected conditions it's all too easy to aggravate an existing injury or acquire a new one trying to protect the current one.
Unlearning what you can do is very hard to do; it's hardwired into your brain and reflexes can take over when confronted with fast, unexpected physical challenges.
Even "easy" explores can tag you bad.

Thx for the advice! I’ll be sure to take it to heart, would be a shame to get out of bed-rest and then immediately have to go back.
