Roadside Find on the way from NC to Pittsburgh

I was driving to Pittsburgh a while ago and noticed this out of the corner of my eye and decided it would be cool to check out. I don't think you can really tell in these pictures, but it was pouring sheets of rain, I walked around umbrella in one hand, camera in the other. There were the remnants of a house that looks like it had a pretty big fire, there was what I think was an old general store, (picture 19), and there was also farm equipment, some warehouses, and the grain silos/hoppers.

Nice find

Probably best to limit file size and/or number of pics displayed;
after over a minute I'm still waiting for this to load on a 4 lte connection.
On fios it doesn't matter

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

Fios user: It still took a few seconds for the photos to load in fully.

I was able to view it fully even after 3 minutes and gave up.
It crashed out on me.

Thank you! My bad though lol, they're some big files. I can try to limit file size and the number of pictures in the future, no promises though! ;)

It's good practice to limit resolution to below 2000x2000, I often go for 1080x810 or 1080x900. If it's just a random photo I'm linking to in a thread, and not an exploring photo, I go with somewhere around 400-700.

Nice find! The rainy weather really adds something to the ambient mood of the photos. There's some cool stuff along rural back roads.

Cool shots and a cool find! They look really sharp, what were you shooting on? I really like the general mood and look of em but a few looked a tad over done. 18 was my favorite.

I shoot with a Canon Rebel T6i & I edit my photos with lightroom and sharpen them up more.. I don't remember if these pictures were taken with the 18-55 kit lens or with my awesome little 40mm prime lens which is a total bargain buy and one of the sharpest lenses out there. (Now I shoot with a Canon 24-105 L and my little 40mm prime) I totally agree that some of them were over done, I saw that as soon as I posted them. Thanks for your response!

Gotcha, I'll try to remember to keep that in mind in the future.

Love back roads! I agree, I'm glad I shot it in the rain!
