It's been a while since I made a real post, so heres one from a few days ago.
I decided to go hit up an easy drain and bring a newbie friend.
after falling with style down to the entrance, I made it fine to the platform..
my friend however had slid and fell into the frozen ass water, and me attempting to be a half decent human, ran straight over to her, grabbed her and pulled her out and got her up. then shedded a few of my layers and made her do the same ( I'm no stranger to cold so it didn't bother me, and all her clothes were soaking wet ) then gave her my coat, hat and overall got her warm dry clothes. all while she did not complain one bit..and even wanted to see the drain still, I wanted to take her back to the car and bring her somewhere warm. she refused then we continued onward.
That's the gist of the story, not real exciting but it's a memorable story for a newbie explorer like herself. She was also fine btw. after a little while we got some coffee, I've had to deal with worse winter exploring events.
Anyways this is just a few pictures of the event. hope you enjoy this stupid story and shitty pictures to go along with the adventure.

the cold ass water that she fell in.

Reading/seeing this makes me want a cup of hot coffee.
Lol, I learned to like coffee working night shift at Sun Ship in the winter on the wet dock.

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

Sounds like some shit that would happen to me. I cant swim and im deathly afraid of falling in water like that hahah Seeing all these tunnels time and time again makes me want to give one a shot. I live too far from the main drains though. Ive scouted some around my area but theyre truely just drains. too small for people, and didnt seem to hold anything interesting being theyre all relatively new. Love hearing stories like this though...So many people just post photos and act like nothing ever goes wrong

Hey, at least the most unexpected accidents can make some pretty memorable stories once it's over and done with. I bet that's an introduction to our hobby she won't forget any time soon, and will hopefully look back on it with amusement upon retelling.

EDIT: Hold up. How'd you manage to get the Elf Star? I thought that was from a telephone game that ended almost a decade back, but if you have it then that can't be right.

"Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to be here," he said, knowing full well he wasn't supposed to be there.

I recently took a dip into some very cold, questionable, and stagnant tunnel water while crossing a very dodgy wood plank bridge. I can't recommend wool enough. I had wool socks, wool sweater, and synthetic long johns. I was able to explore a couple more hours and walk back to my car fairly comfortably.

well I'm sure if you keep hunting you'll find something! and well I wish things didn't go wrong but hey I won't complain as long as everyone is alright.

Actually she still loves to go out, we were able to have a good laugh about it afterwards.
