Wish there were more pics of each, but an interesting article none-the-less. If you have visited any of these hotels, I'd love to see your pics below!

"To check out"

Yeah two of them you would get shot for getting near. Good thinking.

I went to the lee plaza in June. when i went it had been recently boarded up. we had to crawl through a small opening. its being stabilized and prepared for renovation. i don't know how they're going to do it. its pretty destroyed and full of asbestos.

I had the chance to poke around in the Hotel Polissia a little over a year ago. Here are a few of my iPhone shots (someday I'll post a proper thread about my two days in Pripyat!)

3. Going Up? by stealthwraith, on Flickr

4. Enjoy our Lounge with Gorgeous Views of Pripyat! by stealthwraith, on Flickr

5. Sunset Pripyat from Hotel Polissia by stealthwraith, on Flickr

Pripyat is incredibly beautiful and the experience of walking the streets and visiting a space designed for 60,000 people that has been repossessed by nature is rather surreal. There is nothing like being in a forest/city simultaneously!

Nice share! Jealous of that explore..... I urbex'd as a kid, without knowing it. My rekindled interest with photos was literally born from images of Pripyat I found online. I look forward to your "proper" post, and hope I can visit someday myself....

The Igloo hotel up here in Ak is pretty pointless to visit fyi. It’s pretty well destroyed inside, was never completely finished, full of black mold and tagging, and has critters of all sizes popping in and out. Might find a squirrel, might find a bear in it. You never know.

Then again, any abandonment up here has the possibilities of bears. Kinda why firearms go out with me. (But I’m always legal when exploring as well, so it’s not an issue)
