In this post I am unveiling a new series dedicated to small locations not expansive enough for a full gallery. Warriors Mini Explorers logs interesting stories and places using short posts and few photos rather than creating a lengthy journal. We all have a collection of interesting little places that just seem way to cool to go un-announced, this new series will focus on displaying these types of locations.
I hope you enjoy this experiment, please feel free to leave feedback in the comments below. The Warriors Team thanks you all for the ongoing support!
1. This late 18th Century Hotel has stood the test of time, now no more than a shell of its former self. Makes you wonder just how many cowboys called this place home for the night.
2. Imagine riding across the rugged terrain of the Rocky Mountains and finding yourself here, a welcoming sight for a weary traveler looking for a good nights rest. And what a view!
3. The town site itself is dull and empty, only simple wooden shacks remain. Hotel View towers above in the distance giving visitors an idea of what riders saw on their approach from the valley. Do you think that wagon was placed there, or was it abandoned along with the rest of the town?
4. A very interesting photograph provided by the Historical Society, this image was taken in 1955. According to the Historical Society this Hotel has been abandoned since the turn of the century.(1900)!
