Spent the Columbus holiday exploring two amazing churches in Chicago. The churches are a common spot for Chicago urbex photographers, but that doesn't negate from their beauty. Enjoy!

Our time here was cut short by the beeping of a motion sensing alarm. We checked out the rectatory next-door but didn't get any great shots. We had another church on our itinerary, so we headed out. The next church was in worse condition, but it was still beuatiful. Thankfully, much of the stained glass remained in tact.

We had pretty much seen everything. We couldn't reach the very top of the bell tower as a family of raccoons stood guard up there.

Churches are probably some of the bes places to explore, especially since they usually lack the typical moldy smell. Thanks for viewing!

Simply stunning.... Thanks for sharing!

Give abandonment a reason for its sacrificial reclamation to nature. Love it. Remember it. Take a picture. Share it. Leave the decay to nature.

WOAH. Ok, I've got to know where that 2nd church is! I have never seen that church ever.

I know of the first one's location though, it's very beautiful on the outside.

Mmmmm really nice. That glazed over balcony level is pretty unique I've never seen one like that before.

Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time.

The second one is more decayed, but it adds to it in a sense. Surprisingly the stained glass is still there.

It is extremely beautiful! I liked that one a little better actually since it was in better condition. I will definitely be going back to both of them.

I like how it has an older look to it, that and the amazing stained glass.

The spots are amazing! Each of the churches had a unique aspect to them which is what I loved so much!
