Was testing out a new lens I picked up for $2, and lets just say it performed like a $2 lens, as well as a few mistakes by me, which led to only 3 usable pictures
Would NOT recommend the Toyo Optics 28mm f2.8 vintage manual focus lens. Super soft wide open, poor contrast, saturation, and tones throughout the aperture range. Hit me up for ones I would recommend though

2.

3.

Shot on Fuji X-E1 paired with a trash Toyo 28mm manual focus lens. Edited in Lightroom, of course. Open to criticisms and comments

Glass is a really good investment. I always recommend spending more money to get good glass. Some of those cheap thrift store lenses can be fun sometimes though.

Just a flashlight and a 20-30 second exposure time

Definitely. I've got a bunch of nice vintage manual fous lenses that are super sharp and have good contrast; unfortunately I didn't bring them this trip. I'll probably go again with some good lenses and a mask so I can stay longer and get some better pictures

Very cool pictures. Wonder how long since it was being used? I know a couple people who carry around the silver car shades and a flashlight to reflect for different lighting angles. Wonder what it would have looked like in here?

They say I gotta respect the system, but there ain't no respect in that system for me.

Thanks!

I did some research, and found that the building was constructed in 1929, and closed its doors for the last time in the late 1990s. Interesting idea on the car shades!
