No pictures but there's an airport near me that has a fence along one side but it just stops. It wasn't until a few years ago that they actually finished it. And there's always the good ol' fence that some redneck drove over with his truck.

I wish I had a pic for it, but never took one, and sadly, the site has been demo'd.
After exploring a local hospital last summer, I saw a small building across the street that was an abandoned doctor's office. The front doors were wooden, with plate glass windows that had been broken out; and to hold them shut was a realtor's lawn sign hung upside down over the knobs. It looked...kinda secure, from a distance, but it was still not a very good deterrent, especially with the broken out glass.
The hospital was pretty sweet, but this office was rather mundane, though I did find a vulture inside, consuming one of his fallen brothers!

I have a rather funny story, so my bud and I wear hardhats when we urban explore, most citizens see a few roughnecks in a hard hat and they think we work for the city. Now I never thought this would happen. A couple of days ago we were exiting an old steel mill and right, as we did 2 police officers, drove by us, looked and waved and continued on. Most people said "well maybe they just don't care" I have been caught there before they do care ALOT. I truly believe that a white hardhat holds some power.

Although I don't have any pictures, I do like this story. A few months ago I was staying at a hotel right outside DC for a friend's wedding. We arrived at the hotel a few hours early, so I decided to go look around. I went to check out the basement, which was really just the bottom floor of the parking garage, only to find the elevator machine room, the old communications room, and a closet that was being used as an archive were all unlocked. In the archive room I found a butter knife on the floor. I came back that night after the wedding and used that butter knife to open every non keycard locked door from the basement to the elevator machine room on the roof. I had a fantastic time, and I re-locked every door I could, but I seriously considered writing a note the hotel to buy better locks. I doubt they would take my advice if I did, though.

Add a hi-vis vest and a clipboard and you're basically untouchable.

There's a gate at the jail by my house that's chained shut and wide enough to squeeze through. I also see the inmate walking around outside seemingly unsupervised. Seems like a pretty cool place.

Japan and Korea have some of the most pathetic security measures. In locations in both countries, I have seen dinky chains stretch over the access point. All you need to do is step over, and you are in the place. In Korea, you have a lot of brown tarps or pastel-colored blankets used to cover-up demolition areas. It's super easy to find a gap in those. These minimal security measures say something about those societies as a whole. Most people in Japan and Korea would never think about going into those places. I would say they mostly tune them out. I never get in trouble exploring in Asia. Most security people are puzzled why someone would want to check out an abandoned place.

Ive seen similar signs in Texas ghost towns.
Even though they left the place unlocked... I won't go in.
Poor devils
People who breakdown on I-20 and can't recover their car that day roll a window otherwise the thieves will break glass to get in.
They're pretty stupid here; sometimes they don't see the rolled down window and still break out glass.
Break down in this shithole you need to stay with your ride especially after dark.

. . . preferably with a weapon nearby. Some of those places are just blatantly *fucked* up beyond recall - in some ways even more so than most of the "worst" urban neighborhoods I've visited. It's difficult to describe the kind of fucked up it is, it just is. I think that it has a lot to do with alcohol, meth, and boredom, but that's just a guess.

*For the record, there is no way to accurately describe these types of places without using the word, "fucked" in the sentence...*
I tried.
