I finally got around to do a new explore after a month of nothingness, and I happened to really enjoy this spot. It was a funeral home that's upper floor had served as housing for the owning family. The architecture was styled like a medieval cottage castle. Clearly, a lot of work went into constructing both the exterior and the interior. Without further ado let's get into the photos, starting with some exterior shots.

Right after getting in I could tell this place would be great. There was plenty of antiques piled up and right down the hall was the embalming room.

Following this, we entered the gathering halls and waiting rooms.

Right next to those was the actual chapel and area where the actual funeral service would take place.

When we were finished breathing in the beauty...and dust of the first floor we headed up to the upper story house. The house was styled like a home from the 1900s complete with antiques and vintage furniture. There was still food and drinks within the two kitchens of the home.

A common theme in the house was many bottles of alcohol. My theory is bills started piling up and they drank to cope...or they could have just been an alcoholic.

The final stop was the courtyard/balcony in the middle of the house.

Thanks for viewing!

You guys too!! This blew up within the past month which is quite shocking since the first time it was explored was last year in October and since then, nothing until recently.

As usual, it's a place on my list, hopefully I will get to it soon.

Great pics, looks like an awesome explore! I rather like that curved staircase, and the prep room pics add that bit of creepiness (as well as the open fridge...yeesh!) Thanks for sharing, stay safe out there!

I noticed that since the first time it was explored someone had thrown a lot of the furniture and antiques around. They used to be all set up almost exactly as it was when the place was operational. I decided to get in before a horde of people who find out about it from Josh's video do, because I can only imagine it'll be a lot more trashed after.

What a cool place! Great pics - that chapel is creepy AF!! And good God do I hate taggers - so pointless, so ugly. Selfish little effs....

Great coverage! Totally different take on any funeral homes i have seen with the cottage exterior. Loved the old Medicine cabinet. That would be a great piece to have if they ever sell off the contents. That pink dress is kind of sad. Guess they would sell or rent out clothes to those who had the need. I wouldn't be surprised if the mortician drank heavily. I wouldn't want that job!

Thanks! I despise most tagging as well, especially the scribble ones that were here, but under the right circumstances with the right type of graffiti it can add to the aesthetic of the place, granted this is rare and only my opinion.

Thanks! The area has a few other funeral homes styled this way. I'm surprised people haven't just stolen a lot of this stuff. I'm sure this line of works takes a toll on a person...perhaps the alcohol addiction contributed to the financial downfall, I'm sure they are related in some way.

No need for any. That sums it up perfectly.

Thanks. Funeral homes are really cool, especially when they're like this and have lots left. The thought that many dead bodies had been there adds a certain feel to them.
