| | | This scrapyard was once one of the largest in the UK. It was also legendary amongst the classic car community as it contained cars and vehicles dating as far back as the 1920s and had never been emptied since the day it opened, it simply expanded into more and more fields. Sadly the family hit on hard times in the late 1990s which, fortunately for them, coincided with the price of scrap metal skyrocketing. Over the course of a couple of months almost the entire scrapyard was systematically cleared away, however for whatever reasons a very small amount of it was left behind and it's these forgotten relics that can be found dotted around what is now a large patch of trees once filled with vehicles. Slowly but surely everything here will simply rust into the ground. This was a revisit for me, I had visited once before last summer but knew I missed some stuff - and even after this visit I know I missed some stuff out too. It's somewhere you can go and always get some different shots, so I really don't mind having to go back again at some point. 1
