Well, I haven't really seen a thread for just general abandoned farmhouses in central wisconsin, so I guess I will start one here. Post a picture of a cool shot you take of an abandoned farmhouse and post it!

Give abandonment a reason for its sacrificial reclamation to nature. Love it. Remember it. Take a picture. Share it. Leave the decay to nature.

This property is publicly viewable, the house is not. Fredonia, WI. Google maps pins it as Saxonia House. I was lucky with an open door, but you can arrange a tour with The Friends of Saxonia House. http://www.wiscons...saxonia-house.html

This farmhouse was the first exploration I have ever done. It was a farmhouse that was over 100 years old, built in 1908. It was down the street from me and I was always curious about it and why it was never demolished. My friend and I eventually made our way into it, really cool place. Unfortunately, it was torn down this month along with an abandoned warehouse garage on the neighboring property. The garage actually had power and was really creepy inside.

This was another abandoned house not to far from me. On the property, there are two homes, this is the older unstable one. It still stands and is tucked deep in a forest. Freaky place to check out at night.

Nice finds all! Keep it up! Here is my very first abandoned house that I ever entered as an urbexer (not the first one in my entire life). I just drove past it out on some backroad. I ended up going inside it a few weeks after I found it and it was pretty empty except for a few pieces of furniture and what not. Wasn't able to find out much on it though.

Since I have become just obsessed with this hobby, it never ceases to amaze me how many of these places I have found just wandering aimlessly on the backroads. The wandering in an of itself has become a real adventure for me! In addition to tons of houses I got into, I now have a long list of places (houses, churches, schools, unmanned hydro-elec plants)I now regularly check for a POE.
