Posted as public. No location details given. Property ONLY for sale. Buildings will be razed.

I found this place just a few blocks from my work, in a direction I don't normally go. Appears to be left in 2013. The 64 acre plot has been approved by the locality to be divided into 60 plots. Therefore, they holdout for a commercial developer to purchase at $2,400,000. This house, barn, and out buildings will never be inhabited again....

There is TONS of garbage on this property. Truck tracks come from the neighboring field. Tires, furniture, TV's, and appliances. All the usual stuff that the garbage man often won't take.

5.

This small out building was full of shoes, boots, and a pair of ice skates.
6.

The building to the right is a half-assed converted garage.
7.

First thing I notice in the converted garage is a hardwood floor. That was laid directly over dirt.
8.

9.

The back room of the garage shows a weak effort to drywall. When the drywall was used up, they used plywood. They wall to the left is where the garage door is, drywalled over. I also noticed the floor is well below the footing. It most likely had a concrete floor, that was removed or just crumbled.
10.

There is part of a stove pipe in this building too, most likely a wood burning stove. The stove is gone.
11.

12.

Drinking coconut water, taking off the socks and tightys, and playing with a ball.
13.

On into the house. This is the back door.
14.

I have seen old school push button light switches before, but nothing like these twist switches. I do not have house history, but at this point I am going with 1900, +/- 10yrs.
15.

The kitchen was HUGE!
16.

17.

I did not notice the insulation behind this door when I was there. No clue what was behind it. I think the stucco outside looks too nice to be 100+ years old, so there must have been another backdoor that was sealed over for some reason.
18.

19.

Anyone remember the Bud Man?! I remember him well. Even had a stack of stickers - really wish I still had them. I have not ever seen Bud Man on a plane though....

The woodwork in here was just beautiful

The DEFINITELY don't make house even close to this any more. These walls are 22" thick!!!
28.

That is a LOT of cobweb. And a LOT of dust!
29.

On to the 2nd floor

And to the alternate basement entry....

Here is death steps from the house I avoided.

This is a 1973 Chrysler Courier 154. If the floor wasn't rotten, even as a non-starter, NADA list low-end value at about $2000. It was last registered in 2006.

Great explore...so much to see !

Gotta love the "freaky fungus"
How very bizarre the hardwood flooring upon dirt...wonder if this was the norm or just an oddity ?

Love the pics ...feels like we seen your explore with you

Has to be an oddity. Someone didn't know better, didn't care, or is just plain dumb. It definitely was not built that. Who knows how or why it ended up like this.....

Thank you very much for the kind words - I appreciate it!

Cool place, and nice shots! I've never been here but it has a lot of call back elements from other places I've been. The garbage all over the place was common at a plant nearby, the house reminds me of some of my first explores, the do not use on water appliances like what I saw at a mental hospital, and the cars and boats strewn about like in the parking garage of a factory. Great post, it brought up a lot of nostalgia. I've been enjoying your recent content, keep it up!

I'm here for a good time not a long time.
