Zach here, 17. I live in Northern Wisconsin, but adventure throughout Central Wisconsin as well. I run this account with my good friend Colton whom I share most of my adventures with. We practice parkour and enjoy Urbex where we can find it, but we have a hard time finding it. If anyone is in the area, or just wants to talk, we are always open to exploring and meeting new people so PM me!

Happy Ventures!

Welcome! I am in SE WI, but frequent central WI as I have some land near Iola in Waupaca County. There is a handful of other Wisconsinites on here as well.... Keep your eyes peeled, you will find them. Be sure and post some pics of North WI explores - the full member DB Map only has a handful from up there!

Hello UER-ers:

I'm originally from South-Western Ontario, now living in Montreal. I haven't done a lot of Urbex, but I like to explore when I can. I've done some exploring at Silo 5, in the biosphere, Snowdon Theatre, and Empire Theatre.

I'd be happy to check out some new places and/or buddy up with others. I don't have a great camera, but I do like to grab a few photos when I can. I can be pretty resourceful when it comes to finding / creating a POE, but I don't break anything.

I'm happy to be part of the forum, and hope to earn my full member badge soon!

Here's a panorama I stitched together from about 20 photos taken at the very top of the silo 5 complex:

Greetings fellow urbex humans! My name's Matt and I recently moved to El Paso TX. Being unfamiliar with the area, I'd love to meet up with other El Paso area urbex enthusiasts.

Welcome, all!

And yes, Duck03, we are still here.

Be sure to search out some explorers in your area that inspire you and send them a message and see about connecting!

Once you meet one or two locals you'll start to have a real sense of community that the forum is here to merely facilitate.

I text back and forth with some of the people around here because it's faster and we aren't always just sitting on the forum.

Read the forum rules, try to learn the lay of the land here, and post all the photos you can!

New explores + photos = UER stret cred. ;)

Happy 'sploring!

Hey! I'm from Baltimore, Maryland, and I got into urban exploring this year after quite a long time of just "thinking about it". I gotta say, didn't think I'd be the type of person for this type of exploring OR photography, yet here I am. I find the places my friends and I visit to be extremely inspiring for my main hobby, which is music production. Something about man-made structures being overtaken by nature makes me wanna paint that picture in audio form. Anyway... if you're around Baltimore or even around Maryland feel free to message me, it's great to have found this forum!

Hello everybody.

My name is Grant and I live near Huntsville, AL. I'm new to the urbex community, though I did some urbexing before I knew it was an official thing. I absolutely love the hobby and hope to gain more experience soon.

I've explored a couple times locally and in Mexico. Unfortunately I never took any pictures though I have two local places that I'll visit and make a post on. I'd love to connect with some people and go on trips! There isn't much near me (that I know of) but I'm on the lookout.

I currently explore alone and I know that isn't optimal for a beginner. I'll do my best to scour the forums and learn as much as I can! Over and out

Hello, my name's Patrick and I'm with the Weekend Warriors. I am based out of Colorado and love exploring schools, hospitals, factories, etc. I got into UE for what you can find left in old buildings and such, history fascinates me and seeing it "froze" in time is why I explore. Our group is new to UE and are grateful to be a part of the team. We hope to grow, make new friends/members, and find new and exciting places to explore!

Hello! Name is Saranta(alias) and I live in Southern, VT with my husband. I love history and joined this site mostly because I love the historical side of urban exploration(the photography side is a little neat too) and love learning new things and I would say I'm a bit of a history buff! I am physically disabled so I do not get out urban exploring as much as I would like so I am hoping to kinda live through all of you! Cheers!

Won't you think I'm pretty

And I'll take your hand and pick you up And keep you there so you can see it As long as you're alive and care I promise I will take you there We'll drink and dance the night away

Hello all! I first became interested in exploring abandoned places when my wife and I watched an episode of some docuseries (the name escapes me at the moment) that featured some haunting images of the Salton Sea. It just captured our imagination, so the next time we took a roadtrip out to California (we live in Phoenix), we decided to take a detour and explore the Bombay Beach area for ourselves.

Fast forward a few years, and we've both fallen in love with the hobby. Whenever we travel, we research the surrounding areas and look for locations to check out, and sometimes we plan trips for the sole purpose of checking out a new find. I'm really glad I came across this forum, and I look forward to contributing whatever I can!

Good day all! My name is Luke and I am quite new to the world of urbanex. Literally, I just bought my first camera a couple of months ago. I also just moved to the Rockford, IL area a few weeks ago and will be here for the next year or two. In that time I am hoping to gather a large collection of photos and maybe some video documentation of all the abandoned locations around here. I just created this account too, so over time I will have more posted on here. I would also like to meet some local explorers who share the same interest as me and share a couple adventures together with. I would love to hear back from anyone and make a few new friends. Happy exploring all!

I'm pretty sure no one uses this site anymore. Most of the replies I see are from 2011.

Hi, all! I'm Mina, 17, from KCMO. I've always just sort of liked empty, unused spaces, though before recently that mostly consisted of forgotten graveyards and Perkins at 3am. More recently- past 6 months or so- one of my friends in college took me & some others to an abandoned grain elevator and a few sites under construction and... what can I say? I fell in love. I'm not a big photographer usually, but in addition to starting urbex as a hobby, I'm also going to try and start documenting those spaces.

Hey all, Happy to finally be a part of this site. I'm based in IL, in Chicago, and looking to explore the area a bit more. I don't have too much under my belt, a few abandoned houses here and there, an old schoolhouse in WV and a pretty neat ghost town there too. I know there are a few based in Chicago, I would love to meet up. Urbex experience is small, but I'm pretty damn good with my camera!

Hi, and welcome to UER! Fellow Wisconsin explorer here- I explored extensively around the Wausau area until I moved to Madison two years ago, though I spent a few months up north last summer too. Like Mr. Bitey said, there's a decent number of Wisconsin explorers around.

"Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to be here," he said, knowing full well he wasn't supposed to be there.

Fall Cheesehead Groupex? I am not great at planning events. Someone want to run with this ball? Maybe we could start with who would be interested, followed by how far they are willing to travel? Centered on Madison, Milwaukee, LaCrosse, or elsewhere? Bueller? Bueller?

I'll start with ~ I'm in!

2. ???

Going to paste a copy of this in the main forum as well.

I would be interested! However, I do live in IL, but WI is less than an hour drive for me, so if there are any spots in the Southern part of the state worthwhile, I am willing to travel the distance. Wisconsin is my home state and since I started getting into urbanex a few months ago, I've realized how much lies unknown in this state.

Check it out and stay tuned there. We don't even have a location nailed yet, but I posted some options to see who bites....

Hey my names Farid from Philly. One of my first exploration sites was a place called Byberry insane asylum. Spooky place to say the least. My first time there was with 2 cars full of friends in the middle of the night. Patrol cars would be driving by but we pulled some metal gear solid stuff and got in. Since then I've been to 7 mile Detroit, Casa Grande domes in Arizona, Linfield industrial park in Royerstown PA and other sites. Something about the abandoned gets my blood flowing. hoe about you?
