This is the first really cool place I found just from trolling around on google maps satellite and looking for buildings in the middle of the woods. So wild that you can find these spots so easily but most people don't care to think about that stuff

= If I'm remembering correctly, I have since been back there and the streetlight was actually off on my most recent visit.

Nice shots, that's a neat little spot. They started some demo up there last year I think. When I went through around November of last year the tower had already been taken down.

I'm making an educated guess that was one of the USAF Rome Labs/ Rome Air Development Center test annexes, of which there were about 5, scattered around upstate NY and did a lot of very important communications, navigation, and other electronic systems testing in the 1950s up until the 1990s or early 2000s.

Those tiles are old school. Used for running cables, saw them once in an older data center.

To lift them up, they had these handles with suction cups on them that you'd slam down onto the floor then pull on.
