| | | Posted by Wizbang Thanks flySparrow! I will for sure order more in the future, as well as contribute to the costs involved in keeping this site up. Hey - is my meagre purchase of a sticker pack enough to be able to sport a sweet UER swag button under my name on my posts?!?!
|
You're welcome, sounds great! Currently the UER swag stars are a relic of the site, not hooked up to the Etsy site. If the Etsy store is successful, however, I may be able to persuade a change. So, tell your friends, get some stickers for every case, computer and water bottle you have!

| | | Posted by flySparro As I mentioned I haven't weather / sun-tested these decals, so do let us know how that Infiltration decal looks in a few months or at the end of the summer!
| In a little more than 2mo The Infiltration logo that came in my UER sticker pack shows NO wear or fading. My jeep has NOT been garaged this summer, due to a project taking up the space, so it is exposed to the elements and sun from dawn till dusk. Milwaukee has recorded a high of 94f so far, with about 7 days of 90+. Those are the official records, but the dash temp in Ms. Jeepy has shown as high as 99f. With virtually zero wear or fade, I can already call these north-midwest summer friendly. The real test will be this winter, when temps can hit negative digits. Cheap bumper stickers will shrink and crack, or chip apart from the ice scraper. Windchills here can hit -40f, but fun fact: Wind chill is actually a measurement of heat loss, therefore and inanimate object is not affected by windchill, only the ambient air temp....

That's awesome! I don't think they'll withstand the scraper, but that's awesome that they're weathering well as outdoor stickers! Hit us with another update once the summer starts to round out ;)

| | | Posted by Maven Got my way cool stickers today! I've always wanted to be a sea man but we're a bit landlocked in CO. Now finally there's a yacht club I CAN join ;) Why I skimped on the manhole covers I do not know. Must've been low on pocket change cause they look great too. Thanks flySparro! Also really happy with the gear ties. Yeah, they're simple but you've clearly taken the time to do it right. Particularly the cauterization of the ends - how did you get it to be so uniform and beautiful?
|
Wowowowow First of all, I'm stoked that the super-thick envelope with a jambalaya estimation of stamps actually made it to you! Glad you like the manhole covers! They took some time to create. I know each of them well. Lastly, the gear ties, yesss I use them for everything. I finished making them and tied them together with, of course, a gear tie, and my stash is dwindling, as I use them on cables, earphones, my camera bag, my hiking equipment... Their uniformity is a result of much repetition and attention, trying to get them as long as I could while still ensuring they're tight and straight. Thanks for sharing the photos, I'm stoked that you're happy with them! Also, lol at that white.. dude thing. It's all I needed in my life today.
