This location has been my absolute favorite since I laid eyes on it. I recently got the chance to take another visit. The sloppy closure left many records, which have since been removed, and even power in the facility. The site had its own power plant, which was never decommissioned correctly thus making it partially active. Almost any building you enter you can find a room or a connected smaller building that has the indistinguishable hum of electricity from within. It's in great condition as far as abandonments go.

The morgue was originally sealed behind a wall for some reason, no longer the case, I have no idea how someone figured out where the morgue was in order to break the wall. It could fit 8 bodies.

In order to get into a building I missed last time I had to take the tunnels, I lucked out since the only tunnel I needed was the only one not flooded.
Flooded

Not Flooded

There were any electrical utility rooms by the tunnels beginning. It appeared as if it would only take a few flips from OFF to ON to get the power running throughout again, as opposed to just one or two lights per building if any. This room also had canisters filled with chemicals.

If you know it, you'll get why this is a cool find...

Out of the tunnels, we enter the admissions and main hospital building.

Some medical waste left behind...

A sign in sheet for future explorers.

The last picture I took before leaving.

Thank you for viewing my pictures. I'm finally getting the hang of my new camera and the quality is a step up from my last post. All feedback is appreciated! It may be interesting to flip a few switches and try and get that place up and running with electricity, possibly even restart the tunnel pumps...

I'm here for a good time not a long time.

What a great find !! There was a big hospital on the base I was stationed at that had power. First time we went in there my buddy turned a nob and the radio came on and blasted it though out the complex lol

Do you use tri-pod for your shots ?

No, that's why some are blurry. It would be a hassle to drag it around that place, I did a lot of walking.

You can get a good compact tripod for not too much money. I have one from Manfrotto that folds up small enough to fit in my backpack and it only weighs ~3 pounds. I don't use it for most shots, but it's easy enough to carry for when I do find a shot that needs it.

Aside from that, this place looks awesome! Lots of stuff left behind and the power was left on? Sweet find.

Most of the stuff I shoot is off a tri-pod. Once you get used to carrying it around you don't even notice it after awhile.

What a cool location! Unusual that so much was left behind, I'd expect (hope) that they plan to come back and remove some of it. That drum is giving me Return of the Living Dead vibes...

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

Yeah, I'm still adjusting the new camera is a lot lighter than my old one.

Thanks! I'll look into that. And yes, the plant itself is somewhat self run from what it looks like.

They've already been to the place several times to remove the remnants. I don't know why that job was done so poorly. There are many many more drums like that throughout the place, there are even underground tanks leaking into the soil!

It's truly amazing, and indeed there is a lot to see, I haven't even been in every building yet. Thanks!
