This was one of the first places I ever felt a pull to.

Naturally, as it was a giant painted structure, seemingly oddly out of place, nestled between boat launches and sun tanning beach bums.

I biked to and from work, each time passing this massive, weird, fenced off stadium, each time saying, "oh, tomorrow I will go and look...for today I am too tired".

It wasn't until I went away from Miami and learned of this thing called "UrbEx"...you may be familiar...that I realized what that pull to this structure was. Now after returning from overseas voyages, I explored the place that once pulled me so strongly.

I had more digital photos but unfortunately forgot about them and wiped my memory card. But in reality there's enough photos of this place, hah

Clicked this one on a disposable camera a few months ago:

Does it seem like it will ever be restored? Last news reports I saw were positive, but some politicians are whining about no draw for the poor.

I want to see it back in its heyday. Big names racing big boats.

kidchaos and I drove past this when we were out and about last time. There was a cop in the parking lot (not that we wanted to check it out.) We were trying to get photos of the skyline. Interesting place to drive by anyhow..

Interesting @YotaMan20, they have a security guard there during the day (not sure about night, I've never gone at night). Don't remember seeing cops sitting outside.

As for restoration @Caryw01...I saw no signs of anything, I visited this place a handful of times between August 2017 and May 2018 and nothing changed.

We may have seen the security, who knows. We were driving by on the other side of the road.
