It sounds classier if you pronounce it "tray-passing"

Made a visit last night to a long standing Edmonton location. Despite the efforts of on-site security, and the some of the thickest swarms of mosquitoes I've ever seen, we had great success! Well worth the bushwhacking, and the time spent belly-down in the tall grass as a bug buffet. You could spend days here taking shots and still miss things, but here's a slice of what we saw.

Crazy explores! Cooling towers, storage tanks, control panels and what looks like Magcan's Edmontonian F*cked up cousin?

Here are the shots that came out the best. They look hella bright as a 20 second exposure. Might've been a little too long as they look like evening shots but IRL was about 2 AM. See if you can notice stars in any of the shots.

I forgot to say, Techno, I love #2 of yours! Perfectly executed dark shot.

And boatlaunch, those are sick, man! They’re really distorted and I don’t know why, also you should look into shooting raw or using custom white balance, but otherwise they’re really great! I love #3 of the two tanks, the pebbles in the foreground and the sky moving in the exposure! I would be hella proud if I took that. Simple but very effective! Just lots of fun

Great explore, gentlemen!

Thanks Fly! I used my usual shotgun approach to photography...just keep snappin' and hope something doesn't suck.

This place is huge! And very much reminds me of MagCan as well. Next time you guys are in town we'll have to take a jaunt down that way.

Boatlaunch, great shots! Your weapon of choice has proven quite effective.

Hey stranger. Asking for locations on here is considered poor form. One of the ways we preserve these sites is by not telling everyone & anyone where they can be found. Although this is a public thread, you'll notice there are no names or coordinates being shared...that's why. It's all about trust. I'm glad you liked the pictures though.

If you'd like to be more involved in the local community, the best way to start is by showing us pictures of the places you've been!

Congrats on finding UER! Make sure to read through the rookie section, it's full of useful information. Not just UrbEx how-to's, but discussions of ethics & community etiquette as well. Sounds like you've got a handle on how to find locations, I hope to see you sharing your own content soon!

p.s. Yes, I had heard of the upcoming school closures!

here is a link from this Portuguese site about "forgotten places" ---I know is in Portuguese but some of the posts are in English... pretty amazing stuff and I'm actually going to explore some of the churches/palaces/common places around Coimbra city this summer. I'll put up pictures indeed!

there is a building right downtown, this building is owned by Alberta government for what I understood and is for lease for over two years now. there is no surveillance system except in the back lane from neighbour's business. doors are locked but can be tricked to open, there is a locked box by the front door but I would believe that the best pick to get inside is from the back---pm me if you want to know the address.
