Abandoned spaces in the Bay Area for an event?

Hey all - I'm looking for spaces in the Bay Area where I can host an event and play loud music (EDM bangers, that type of stuff). Probably around ~50 people, maybe more. We'd bring a dj controller, a ton of speakers, etc and have a good time. My first thought was to do it at an abandoned warehouse or field somewhere, which is why I came here to ask if anyone had any suggestions.

Does anyone know of abandoned / secluded spaces like fields or warehouses that would work for this kind of thing?

Note - if this thread doesn't follow the forum rules somehow, please let me know and I'll take this down immediately. I'm new here and am still learning the rules!

Thanks so much!

I don't see why you don't just rent an empty warehouse.

Hey geezr,

You didn't specify whether you want to organize an event with proper authorization or without it. Since you're looking for "abandoned" spaces, I'm going to assume you are not looking for authorization here.
I can see the appeal of this, but hosting an unauthorized event in a warehouse with "a ton of speakers" is likely to not go unnoticed from the neighbors, and your party might get shutdown very quickly. I don't know any warehouse in the Bay Area that is secluded enough to avoid this issue entirely. And the more secluded a place is, the harder it is to bring a large group of people in...

I think there are places out there that can fit your idea, but you'll have to think a lot more about potential legal and safety risks involved, both for yourself and other guests.

Hope that helps.

Events like your idea seem to be a thing of the past.

I am not sure anyone would be willing to risk sharing a local spot for an event like this one.

Maybe look through some of the old PSW threads for a spot that was recently demolished within the past 3 months.

Also, you've been here just about a year and only 3 posts to your name?

Often large gatherings of this sort are not thoughtful about the sensitivity of many locations. I would urge you to look into a more formal event if you are going to plan one.

Every stage, small or large, should make your event or brand stand out among your audience.

Looking for spaces- Cool, go and look. You have the internet? Google maps? Those are great places to start. Maybe even driving around and doing, you know, actual research.

Does anyone know of any abandoned warehouses- Did you see the name of the site? Have you looked at any of the threads?? Everyone knows of an abandoned warehouse, but why would we tell an obvious cop?

I'm new here... If your promotion and organizational skills are half as good as your research and reading comprehension I'm not worried about your 1990s rave even happening. It literally takes 4 minutes to find out any info on this site.

BUT! I'll help you out

1- Oakland- The Oakland locals LOOOOOVE when goofballs come and have parties in abandoned spaces around Eastmont , Fremont, and Webster.

Also take notes from this abandoned warehouse situation , worked out real good for them:
