Hi I am Septimus,

I have been exploring for around ten years. I explore because I like the way my stomach feels when I stumble across a new place, or numerous places in one location. I haven't gone exploring in about a year now, but I am planning to get my ass in gear and start up again. There seems to be a shit load of construction going on around Vancouver which of course also means locations that have either been left to rot or recover.

Hello!! My name is Alicia, I am not new to exploring, but I am new to the forums! Thanks for having me. I live in FL, but I am from Michigan. I've always had a love of old, abandoned buildings and places and always always wanted to stop everywhere when I was little. My parents always said no. I finally got my wish when I found an old Ford Factory on google maps here in Jacksonville, FL (Designed by Albert Kahn!) and we realized it was just OPEN. The bug was unleashed, and I was hooked. I visited family last year in Detroit, and we got to explore just a handful of the amazing Albert Kahn designed factories and downtown buildings there. Since then, I've been back to Detroit again, and I have another trip booked this summer. We've been seeking out some amazing industrial spots here in Jacksonville, FL, which have been breathtaking and so full of potential. Thanks so much for having me!

Awesome! It seems like you enjoy UE, and it looks like you will find success here!

Take the time, read up on some of the intense resources here (Rookie forum, common thread topics, etc), and keep us posted in your local forum on what you're up to!

Welcome!

Hello from San Deigo California!
I am an aspiring urban explorer!
I got the bug when i read a dated article in the reader about an abandoned military installation in my hometown. I could only find obscure reference to it and was mesmerized by the encounter the author had with an urban explorer in a bar.
Not sure if it is a location due to membership but i have seen one post about this site, I am much closer than a 7 mile walk in.
Well after a lot of frustrated research, forgotten of google earth and upon realization I found it!
Then My fiancee, 2 friends and i went on my birthday and had a blast.
chose to go at night with the NVG.
Have no pictures or nice camera, but i am thoroughly excited to join this forum, contribute and learn of new places to explore and how to locate!

We have also found and explored an old tourmaline mine!

Excited to be a part of this community!

After lurking on this forum through a friend's account for a while, I decided recently I would start posting because I am going to have a lot of free time this summer and would like to share my photography.

Nice to meet you all.

Hi, my name is Ropy and I'm from Europe. I will be visiting Texas in 2 weeks. Trying to get some tips about the dos and don'ts in the South.

I like mostly old industry, but of course will visit any abandoned house too.

I shoot all my photos in 3D. You can see them in parallel view or with red and blue glasses. Here's my collection on Flickr:

Hello. I joined this forum a while ago but finally decided to post something today. Tried to check out a killer location this afternoon but was spotted twice on approach and reluctantly decided to turn back after walking quite a ways. What a bummer. Anyway, I'm 33 and have done a good bit of exploring going way back, not so much recently though. Mainly because I don't know anyone else these days who is willing to take a little risk and join me. I'd love to meet up with some people from the Pittsburgh area who are serious about doing this. I have a pretty long list of locations in the area, mainly found from combing over satellite maps. Send me a message if anyone reading this is interested in teaming up.

Hi all, not sure if anyone is actively checking this thread, but here goes. I'm a 28 year old male living in southeast Connecticut. I've been exploring abandoned places for about 2-3 years now. I usually explore solo, mainly because I don't know other people who share my interest, but also because it's nice to be free and flexible, and I find the process calming. I usually find spots through good old fashioned eyeballin', but I'm excited to find this forum, which will hopefully lead to some new adventures. I shoot Nikon (definitely an amateur, trying to improve) and I have hundreds of photos from my explorations, which I would love to start posting.

Happy to be here, and if anyone explores around my way, feel free to shoot me a message!

Hey there, Im Tony I am from Minneapolis, Minnesota. I am new to UER but not to urbex. I have been into urbex for about 3 years now, everyday I try to find somewhere new to go and adventure. If anyone from Minnesota or Wisconsin wants too meet up I am almost always free. I love photography I cannot go into a building without taking a few thousand pictures. A fun fact about me I am a Personal Trainer.

Welcome, Reggie and TJacks!

Great photos there, TJacks, those look like some incredible locations!

Good colours, edits, too! Watch the lens distortion though, if you use Lightroom or Photoshop look into profile distortion correction for your camera and lens.

Hello,
I am Conner and I live in Cincinnati Ohio. I am 18 and my brother and I just recently got into urban exploring. I have been to a few run down places and like 1 fully abandoned place. I am pretty new at this.

Hello! I'm from Binghamton, NY, trying to get more into urbex. I've done some poking around some places (as seen in the poor quality cell phone picture attached), but I'm looking to get more serious into it, and stumbled across this site. If anyone is nearby I'm always looking for new places to explore. Looking forward to being a part of this community!

Hey gang. I am Jeff. 45yr old in Milwaukee, WI. Not much here to explore, aside from draining. Just finished up an epic 12 state road trip and saw some awesome stuff! As soon as I figure all the protocol out here, I will post pics from a bunch of awesome locations.....

Heyo! I'm Vic/Alex, from the hudson valley in NY! Always been interested in UE but never really got the chance to try it out until recently and I've definitely caught the bug for it
I'm a hobby/semi-pro photographer looking to build my portfolio and whatnot, so I've got quite a few photos that I'll be posting. If anyone is in the area and wants to join up to explore, feel free to shoot me a PM!
