I am lucky and this lovely vintage farmhouse is located not too far from where I live. After looking at it for a couple of years, I decided the time had come to venture inside. I got up very early one morning and headed to the site under the cover of dark, somewhat frustrated to find someone in the driveway close to my entry point (there is another house on the site, lived in I believe). This left me skulking suspiciously on the side of the road, trying to decide what to do. Fortunately after a few moments, the person left and I headed in to look for a hole in the fence that surrounds the house.
There wasn't one leaving me with no option but to climb the unstable fence and drop down into the bushes on the other side, ripping the leg of my pants in the process. I now had to wade through a sea of thorny bushes to gain entry leaving my torn pants full of thorns.
The interior of the house proved worth the effort and discomfort of a day spent in itchy torn pants. Beautiful wood finishing remained throughout, an old bathtub, multiple staircases and a lovely serving area in the kitchen.
After a lovely hour of exploring, the sun was now up and it was time to leave and make my way to work. I was alarmed to find that several field workers had shown up and were pretty much on all sides of me. Realizing there was no way to exit without being seen, I found the most stable looking area of fencing, climbed it quickly and exited out the driveway thankfully without a word from anybody.
