(I hope that I am posting this in the right section. If not, please move it there or let me know and I can move it myself. Also I searched this site and I couldn't find a topic dedicated to this subject. If it already exists, please let me know. Thanks.)

Does anyone else like to explore old logging trails? This is an old one that I have not been down in years. There used to be more equipment but I guess they are slowly clearing it out.

Lets see some cool photos of abandoned equipment!

(Side note: I love how the second picture turned out with the filter. I just knew I had to share it on here.)

I love exploring logging roads. That's how I spend my summers! I have a dual sport motorcycle so I like to spend my weekends when I can and ride out into the mountains in search of stuff to explore

Nice! I'm looking at getting a bike sometime in the next year or so. I'm leaning more towards sportbikes but I have thought about duel sports as well.

I did a double take at the picture before realizing who posted it.

Only thing I'd suggest if you're going down logging roads is to see if there are radio frequencies used by logging operations in the area, and to get yourself a scanner capable of picking up the frequencies. Up here in Ontario logging roads can be reactivated pretty much at-will, without any indications marked at the start of the road that it is active again.

Yeah, but all I have is a minivan. It usually doesn't go too well for me, but it's all part of the adventure.

I can attest to this, last time I drove down an old logging road, I had to almost veer into the ditch when a logging truck came barrelling down around a blind corner.

Here's a lockpick. It might be handy if you, the master of unlocking, take it with you.
