| | | Hello again UER! I've got a treat for those who are familiar with Winston-Salem! I managed to get some pictures from inside RJR before they remodel the location to be a new hotel! | | | Great pics, I love this building! It was designed by Shreve, Lamb, and Harmon; the architects who would also design the Empire State Building in 1931. It was built in art Deco style in 1929, and was for a long time the tallest building south of Baltimore. And yes, it is true that every Father's Day they receive a card from NYC. At night, they light the top of the building up as well. I'm from Greensboro, and went to photograph the R. J. Reynolds building a couple years back, and while I didn't get much further than the lobby, they did allow me to take pictures...
