These are wonderful. Forgive me for asking what is probably going to be a really stupid question, but where is the Lincoln mall? How could it have been left like that for so long? It's like someone opened a door to 1996.

Matteson, IL - south suburb of Chicago. 1996 is about where it peaked before losing two anchor stores within months of each other. Long story short, 2008 shot down a renovation effort mid-demo and it remained open in an unfinished state until Cook County realized the place was a deathtrap, forcing its closure in January 2015. The Cleveland toilet scrubber whored it out to WGN nearly two years later and the vandalism began immediately.

Briefly, she ran. Having rescued a number of litters in recent years, I'd have left them for mama to relocate. However demolition crews were working in this area of the mall, and they were just plowing Bobcats through the stores Blues Brothers-style, pushing the debris into the mall. Figured their chances of survival were 50/50 whether we took or left them... fortunately the South Suburban Humane Society was a few towns over, and took them in. All survived. I was hoping to adopt one, but was told they all found homes.

Dude, I love your pictures, especially your long exposure ones. But oh, those train pictures are even better! I envy explores of old trains quite a bit.

One day I got a good camera.

Thanks much for taking the time to answer my question about the kittens. I am so glad they all found homes. Makes my heart happy to know there are still good people in the world. Your rescue was appreciated by this animal lover

KITTENS!! So glad to hear they all went to good homes! I remember earlier this year when you rescued them.

Love the shots of the mall. It's a shame it went to shit so quickly. Thanks Sephellis.

What an amazing set of photos! You obviously know your craft very well. Thoughtful composure as opposed to fortunate snap-shots. Nicely done!!

Fantastic shots! 10, 15, 29, and 34 are my absolute favorites. It's amazing how people can just build such great structures and abandon them later. Also, thanks for rescuing the kitties. I hate it when animals have to suffer just because some heartless person left them to die cause they couldn't be bothered to take them to the shelter.

Great stuff, man! That did you do with the kittens :3 I really like the vibe of the brewing behemoth look so nice from the inside, especially picture 67 looks like a rotting beast!

I gotta ask, where did you find that mask at picture 25? I know it's your thing but I'm curious as to how you got it, did you custom made it or is that video famous enough to have a business making the masks?
