Hello everyone!! It's been awhile since I've done a legit post on here. Last year was a busy one for me and I really amped up my exploring. This was one of my favorite spots from 2017. Myself and three of my close exploring friends visited this abandoned coal burning power plant in June. The place is huge and we spent about five hours here.
This plant was shut down nearly two decades ago. After several complaints by locals to the EPA of high levels of emissions coming from the plant the company that owned it was given a ultimatum: Comply with EPA regulations or shut it down.
Obviously they chose the later.
The level of scrapping here was much lower than one would expect and there was none of the tagging or penis graffiti often found in these industrial locations. It;s not exactly difficult to get in the building, but perhaps it's isolated location, sandwiched between and river, railroad tracks and the highway has kept the idiots way.
Hope you all enjoy the photos! I will try to get back in the habit of posting here again. I have a bunch of spots I really think you guys will enjoy!
